The pins are so tiny and made of plastic, there's no rattles unless you have some kind of supersonic hearing.

Sorry to drag up an old thread, do you have the part numbers for both front and rear sets for an M Sport?

Got a 2014 F20 and have both front & rear mud flaps on for over 3 years and are holding up great!

Is your car msport?
Did you install the front splashguards and what were the part #s? I just installed the f30 rears on the 340i and they were a cakewalk and a perfect fit.. but the fronts dont fit.. need to carve them into shape later on.. |

Hey all, new forum user and first time BMW owner here. Recently purchased a CPO (lease return) 2014 F33.
I've been looking for some type of mud flaps/guards for the 4-series, and can't seem to find any. I'm assuming the OEM mud guards you're all referring to are the 3-series guards: http://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/3755/BMW-MUD-FLAPS I know there was some discussion earlier about whether or not these would fit on an M-Sport, and it seems they do despite dealer claims to the contrary. Give that, does anyone know if these guards will fit on a 4-series? I'd much rather use an OEM part than an aftermarket one-size-fits-all guard that likely won't fit or look right. Thanks! |

Mudflaps are really ugly imo. As an alternative, consider applying xpel to high impact areas.
I got xpel done to rockers, rear wheel impact, and M4 GTS style cutouts for rear fenders. No chips so far. |

I know mud flaps/guards are controversial and not everyone likes them, but I was hoping I could find some information about them. I like the idea of Xpel, but it's not cheap, and although it protects the paint, it doesn't prevent mud splatter all over a clean car. As I said, I can't find any at all for a 4-series, OEM or aftermarket, so I was hoping someone might know if the model numbers I linked to above for the OEM 3-series parts would fit a 4-series. From the pics I've seen in this thread, they're not at all ugly IMO. If there are form-fitting aftermarket guards for the 4-series, I'm all ears as well. |

The 3 series flaps are precisely formed to fit the 3 series, and since the 4 series is different the 3 series flaps won't fit. BMW probably hasn't made any 4 series flaps because they don't sell enough of them for it to be economically viable.

The 4 was derived from the 3, and although overall body shape of the 4 is lower and more aggressive, on first sight the fenders around the wheel wells don't look all that different. There's a part of me that wants to try it regardless, but I'm hesitant to spend $100+ on something that I may not be able to return if a test fit is a no-go. Hence why I was asking. |

I installed 3 series front and rear flaps on my MSport F30 340ix (we get a lot of snow and slush here).
The rear fit without issue or modification. The fronts you have to trim a bit but when fitted you'll never know.
