M performance brakes DIY/software required for bleeding?
Hi guys,
I had asked a friend of mine who works at a gas station if he could install the brakes on my car, and he said his system was showing that he needed a scanner to bleed the brakes. And his scanner didn't have the F30 in it so he told me it wasn't worth risking. I was wondering if anyone has done the install or knows how difficult it is and what software is needed to change the brakes. Seems like an odd thing to require. Is the brake pump electronic or something? Thanks! |

That's if you get the air in the ABS module... I have done it a handful of times without having to use GT1 (older cars). Just bleed it as usual afterwards.

I installed my mp brakes in my garage and never coded them or anything. Standard bleeding procedure.
