Stop complaining and be glad your car allows pairing with a handheld cell phone instead of requiring you to stop at a phone booth to make a call or having a phone permanently bolted to your interior with an antenna stuck on your roof or trunklid.

When the car doesn't auto-recognize my phone which definitely happens more than once, I'll just go into the bluetooth menu, click my phone, sit back and wait no longer than 10 secs for them to reconnect.

I don't think that's totally fair since some of us rely on pairing when we are driving around town and need to be reached safely. Also considering that here in LA it is illegal to use your phone unless it's on a handsfree device. Also consider that we are paying for this function.

My iPhone 6 connects very quick...unless there's another BT device around. Like the portable BT speaker I sometimes have in the garage, or if wife starts her Honda and it picks up my phone before the 335 does...

My Blackberry works well, but I have not tired my wife's iPhone in my car, but I am sure she has and I got no complaints from her.

Another question for those with the Phone cradle adapter. Is that for only apps or will the phone will hard connect to the car as well?

Since mine needs re-pairing (not fixing) every once in awhile, I don't find it to be a problem, especially since I don't take or make many phone calls from the car. If you feel that it's the car rather than your "device", take it to the dealer and insist they fix it, but I'll wager it's a problem with your device and not the BT system in your car.

After 44 years in IT and having to deal with the whole "Bring Your Own Device" (BYOD) in the workplace from a connectivity and security standpoint, I can make that statement with confidence. I'm just having a hard time accepting how people are becoming so completely dependent on their phone to get through their day, particularly when they're driving in a heavy-traffic area like LA.

An obsolete handheld device that started the whole "electronic enslavery gadget" movement, like needing to have a text or email conversation while taking a dump or, sadly, while driving or doing anything where your attention should be focused elsewhere.

I'm not having any connectivity problems on my iPhone. I was merely stating that relying on something to work is not unreasonable given today's fast paced nature of day to day business.

I feel you, it's right in line given the history of our reliance on technology. When I was young it was a luxury to have a computer at the office. Then the offices had them and it was a luxury to have one at home. That became the norm, then it was a luxury to have a portable laptop. Now everyone has a laptop, and for a short time it was a luxury to always be connected to the internet. Now everyone has internet and it was a luxury to have internet on the go. Now we have computers in our pockets.... and internet. It's not that we are completely dependent on our phones, it's that we are dependent on technology like we always have been. Cutting edge technology just happens to be most useful and widespread on our phones.
