Autocar to publish 8 page Road Test this week on F31

This is due out this week, it doesn't say whether its petrol or diesel (or 320 or 330) but should be a thorough write up

The BMW 330d Touring is the subject of our full road test.

Just read Autocars review of the330d estate.
A great report, a great car .its a shame the car needs so many extras, and the extras cost so much.
The 330d ends up costing nearly £50,000 !
Please note if you read the report that the cabin noise wasn't tested.
I know some people object to the wind/ tyre/ road noise their F30 has.

Autocar seem to miss quite a few fundamentals in their reviews

In their test of the 320d Sport, they did publish noise figures. In their more recent tests, there are no noise measurements. Perhaps they have broken their Sound Level Meter (SLM) and can't afford to buy a new one! Could they not borrow one from Auto Express or What Car?

They do mention their sound level meter is away for calibration.....

Viewed as an excellent car, as most of us know anyway. As AutoCar says, just this issue of the cost, "in order to get the optimum driving experience". Price as tested for the Luxury line was £48,505

But what is new with BMW.

Price was my only issue, on the lead up to me changing cars. Almost £50k for a decent engine and specification in a 3-series, you have to think twice.

Still a brilliant BMW without any serious issues or vices, top of the tree.

Just quickly read the review. They've made a mistake with respect to the Jags acceleration bar graph. It's slower due to the greater bar lengths but they've posted the same figures as the BMW's. Hopeless.

Jaguar? Where is that in the road test? What page? Page 69 doesn't even have the Jaguar in the "Top 5".

Got it, how did I miss that bit?

Bit of a printing error, but actual figures are there.

More interesting... why use the XF, when that is in 5-series territory? Should of been the Merc, shouldn't it?

Agree with you. Not sure why they used the Jag, although they rate it highly.
