Thanks to Frogman I am now coding
I just wanted to thank Frogman. He met up with me about two weeks ago and taught me how to code and helped me code my car. He is a great and very patient man who gave me a fool proof step by step hands on tutorial.
My 435i is now coded to all the specifics I ever wanted. Plus, I now have the knowledge to code. So, finally, I got together with my brother and coded his 320i. I will admit I had to have a quick refresher convo with Frogman. However, there was only one small step I wasn't completely remembering. Five minutes after my conversation was over I was able to finish V.O. coding my brothers 320i for Enhanced Bluetooth Sport Automatic Transmission Variable Light distribution Then, we moved onto the FDL coding and we set his car up to: Unlock on engine off radio turns off on door open TPMS gives specific figures for each tire BC computer gives digital speedo Windows rolled down and up using the keyfob Emergency brake light blinks Removed Idrive disclaimer phone ringtone rings thru the speakers. There may even be one or two codes I added that I am forgetting. After the coding, which had no errors, we checked and double checked everything and it all worked perfectly with no problems or codes thrown by the car! Thanks again Frogman. I have agreed to help him code cars at future coding meetups! Hope to see you all there. |

I'm in the NoHo area and soul like to start coding too. I was looking at the cable but my search pointed me at cables with an Ethernet end, then I saw ones with USB. Can you help me select a cable, software, possibly a mini meet in the valley? I too would love to volunteer my services to the community.

I made my own cable, but you can now buy them on Amazon too. Send ShawnSheridan a PM and he will send you the info you need for the cable and getting the software. Send me a PM if you want to meet. I've taught at least a dozen others how to code. They just got bought a cable and loaded the software on their own laptops and we coded their cars with it. |

Frogman, I bought a cable a few months ago and would be willing to add my support to future meets to help code others (Granada Hills area). Sent you a PM yesterday. Let me know when you are around and I'll bring my laptop and the cable with me.
