how to change IDRIVE into traditional Chinese?

i want to flash HU ENTRY to get chinese but something wrong

you dont need to flash HU_Entry to get chinese.
Change VO in your FA to 866 (w.e your language code is now)
and VO code Entry and it will display chinese fine.

Do you know what the code is for Korean? I see in your picture that the 1st song list is shown in Korean. Is it the same 866 code? Does it affect the English menus for everything else?

All menus are in chinese though. there is no way to get english menu but chinese song names.

If you want english menu but asian song names and you got some money to spend it will be worth it to get NBT.

I replaced my Entry with NBT and NBT has all languages supported (english menu all asian names displayed for songs)

I've heard that NBT containing all languages, but CIC did not, so need to use the programming to write the language packege

It really work


But i can't change My dashboard
I change the language setimg in BKOMBI 3008
but it still display in english

yea there is no way to get chinese on the dashboard.

i bought a used dashboard from ebay, i will try flashing it with chinese software and see if it works.

I'll update you when i get it

I tried to change dashboard language to Chinese
but everything is still in English and music information are blank

on my car, the iDrive is in English. With my EBT audio, my chinese songs show up on the iDrive in Chinese. They don't show in the HUD correctly though.

The cluster i bought from ebay was DOA and the seller did not have another one.
And the exchange rate right now to Canadian is terrible

Ok. Just so you know, I also followed your instruction to VO code my HU_ENTRY to Chinese and it worked flawlessly. Thank you for your post. I am quite new to coding so pardon me if it is a silly question. Can i just also VO code my KOMBI to Chinese like I did with my headunit?

It won't work because the Chiense font is not loaded into your Kombi by the factory. at least mine wasnt
If can try but you might just get blank texts. not even squares or question marks

doesn't hurt to try though.

So what is the original language code on Canadian F30 you got? I am trying to get this for my father-in-law who just got a F25.

Is the Language code under SALAPA-Element or somewhere else?
SALAPA-Element is where I update from 6NH to 6NS and I would like to confirm thats the place to find it?

While I did not perform the 866 VO coding, by just changing the Country to 'Hong Kong' under HU_Entry on my 2014 F32, I was able to see the Chinese characters under browse directory. However, the rest of the idrive screen failed to display correctly. This is strange anyone has an explanation?
