Help me decode my vehicle status
My car is suppose to be on the ship lavender ace arriving Brisbane on the 17 Oct. I just checked the site and it showed up as Liner release Brisbane.
Can someone tell me what liner release mean? Interestingly it didn't have a quantity number... Does this mean my car is here or not...... I don't see a boat scheduled to arrive in Brisbane between late sept and lavender ace.... I did a bit of digging in the forum and most couldn't work out what liner release is. I suspect I'm getting too excited for nothing as it seemed to be against all the other info on ww website. |

Yep. Your car was recorded as being offloaded from the ship yesterday. A few days in bond, a few days being prepped, a couple of days at the dealer and years under your ownership.
Not long now.

If you look at www.marinetraffic.com/ais it indicates that the Lavender Ace is still part way across the Great Australian Bight from Fremantle to Melbourne - or at least it was when it last sent a position six hours ago.

It used to go to PrixCar in Altona, but not for some years now. Anyway, the second release looks like it's the Clayton destination, after bond/customs. I am collecting my car at a formal black tie event on Saturday morning at 0900. THE first EB F30 M-Sport delivery for them. There will be dignitaries, MPs, PM, AM and all other letters of the alphabet. OK, so it's not really a black tie event and there won't be any people with odd letters after their names either. Just my wife and I. I will be too excited to notice anyone else there anyway. I was planning on wearing an Estoril Blue T-Shirt to match my car, but it's going to be cold on Saturday. Maybe under my jumper. The dealership has a silver/grey M-Sport, which was delivered to them yesterday. Looking forward to Saturday morning!!! I will post photos later in the day.

All you October delivery guys getting your 360 event offer? They have tv ads here in NSW promoting it.
Now Toyota are offering 0% finance, as soon as BMW do that I can use that as an excuse with the misses to update to the LCI F30 or maybe a Gran Coupe ... Hmmm |

To be eligible, you need to have ordered & take delivery between 1st Sep & 31st Oct. So I am not eligible for it. I was, however going to ask, but I doubt it. The 360 is a way for BMW to get rid of existing stock.
No way would a factory order fall within the 360 parameters.

Doesn't hurt to ask them. I was told I could get it as long as I took delivery by 31st Oct.
Will let you all know if they back out or not. |

360 offering is standard to corporate customers

The 360 promotion extends some of that to the private buyer. Would be worth asking whether you can get it. |

With that being said, even though my employer wasn't part of the corporate programme, the dealer gave me the forms which I got my HR guy to fill out and my employer got approved so I managed to pick up the free servicing benefit anyway (though the dealer delivery was already negotiated and wouldn't be discounted for this purchase). Additionally, for getting my employer signed up, BMW North Shore gave me two vehicles for a few weeks - an X3 20d and a 116i Sport to share around the company to get other people enthusiastic about the brand. My dealer showed me the list of corporate approved customers and there are small companies like pharmacies, take away shops and video stores in there, so I can't imagine their requirements for entry are too arduous.
