Cool, so you went RWD. What are you going to do for the winters?

Congratulations! I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

All he needs are winter tires for winter and he'll be golden.

Does he need all 4 to be blizzaks or can he run just the back to help get going? I'm going through the same thing...xdrive vs. RWD

Do you DD your RWD in the winter up there?

NEVER EVER MIX SUMMER AND WINTER TIRES.

(Apologies for the caps, but this deserves them.)

Not just that. It's a very dangerous question.

Front winter, rear summer: car goes tail first under braking.

Front summer, rear winter: car drives straight. Always. Even in turns.

As others have said, never mix up tire types. You NEED all 4 tires to be winter tires, even if you had AWD. Grip of the front tires are critical for both turning and braking, no matter what drive train.

My old car was RWD and didn't have ANY traction control because it was such an old car. I drove it daily during the last 4 winters without problems. Unfortunately I never got a chance to drive the F36 in winter

Nice build. Have you seen the Ash Grain trim? Looks really rich with Black Dakota interior. Just saying.

i think so.. i just think all the wood trims are more luxury than sport, prefer the aluminum for sport.

that said, i'm disappointed that full leather is only an option on the m3. i'd have paid up for that one.

Glad to see proper BMW enthusiasts still ordering rwd cars with 6mt. Thanks for helping keep the best iterations of these cars in demand! The longer we can keep the take rate for manuals above 10%, the better off enthusiasts as a whole will be. Please post pics and a review when it arrives! Maybe even a video of the rev matching!

is it really down to 10%? scary. Though, the fact that a 435 GC can't be ordered in stick points that way, I guess.

Will do - curious about the rev-matching myself.
