I guess that settles it

Estoril Blue is a "Classic" BMW color

The poll should be is "Liquid Blue a girly color"
If you want a 3 series and don't want the standard white, silver, or black, its either EB2 or M Red, both great choices, and those who say people only buy those colors for the "look at me" factor, that's a buncha Malarkey
My wife bought a Red X3 because she loves Red, doesn't care what anyone else things, I bought a EB2 335 because it looks amazing and I love blue. Buying any BMW in general is a "look at me" statement, no matter what color you get.

This.

Same for those who said men should not drive Roadsters.

Roadsters are a classic orientation dating back to guys coming back from WWII.

James Dean died in one, and some of the greatest driving cars(Elise, new Boxster) are Roadsters.

Mine has no traction control, no DSC, ONLY comes in a manual, and happens to pack nearly 500hp at the crank.

/end off topic rant

Same with the Mini, many people say its a chick car, I disagree, those are fun as hell to drive and I would love to own one if I ever can afford the luxury of a third car.

You know they say "It takes a real man to wear Pink". Well I think it take a real man or a hellava woman to drive an EBII

If I Gave a flip what others thought I'd have never bought either of my miatas....Personal opinion, they are one of the best cars ever made.

I didn't know that blue, the color for male babies could be girly....only on a BMW forum

Agreed!

And off topic:

I am looking to get an E36/8 M Coupe or roadster. I heard that even the 01-02's have a hard time keeping their wheels on the ground in stock trim.

How's the supercharger holding up?

My uncle has a 2001 Roadster and my Father in Law has a 2000 M Coupe. Hopefully i'll have a chance to buy one of them...

So I have the octane blue mitsubishi's version of EBII and i find that it is really a guys color but after a few years in the car I find that the bright blue is almost too much flash. don't get me wrong it's a really unique color and it still catches peoples eyes but I think the color stands out most other colors except for the occasional yellow and orange car I see. That being said i'll probably end up in a crimson red or alpine white F32.

When the car was NA I did a track day with it. With about 270hp at the crank it was still a handful(LOW 13 second car) that took skill in the way old 911's did. Short wheelbase, no drivers aids aside from ABS. A lot of fun.

Supercharger is doing well. I have about 10k on it(bought it used so actual miles are unknown). It needs a new MAF and some tuning once I go for more power.

The stock clutch believe it or not is holding fine and has 74k miles on it. I am also averaging 20-21mpg with a few bursts of WOT a tank.

The car with 13psi is quite quick. It will put a few car lengths on a C6 Vette in a short time. Is a better matchup for a Z06. When I raise the boost to 15psi I am thinking it will be trapping at 120-122mph. Will re-dyno, 15psi should net 430-440whp on a Dynojet.

How would blue be girly? Would you paint your first born daughters room blue?

There are colors that are definitely more feminine (for example when I spent 3 weeks driving my sisters purple Miata, it brought some things into question) but I wouldn't see blue as one of them.

I really wanted EBII, and my wife wanted white. So the car is white. I compromised with getting the red interior, which was not her choice.

Yup, somone's being a sh!t disturber. Yeah, yeah, its all in fun....

He's basically trying to imply what you said above. I mean, while we're at it, I think we should have a poll on certain colours, and tie that to IQ? :P He might as well try to insult people that way, instead of celebrating people's enjoyment of their cars.

I don't think anyone with a EBII is questioning this, from the other thread as mentioned a few posters said its a girly color (for one reason or another), it wasn't an owner saying "is my car color girly".

I have EBII and never once thought it made the 335 M Sport look like a chick car, and my wife and sister in law would have told me if they thought so. I think the car has to be a borderline "chick car" before any color in that car can be considered girly. This isn't powder blue with beige interior we are talking about (no offense to people with that combo )

This made me grin. Every so often, someone makes this statement about my Z3. My response is, "yeah, James Bond is the epitome of a chick."

Never been countered. They stop cold.
