So pissed
When I purchased my car a month ago, I noticed a chip on the sharp antenna fin so I told my ca and he ordered one and it just came in last week because the f30 is so new and the part came from Germany, so I washed my car yesterday and this morning when I opened the sun roof and drove it water came inside my car not from the sunroof but in the back where the shark fin is located on the roof, so the seats n everything got wet, I'm so pissed I called my dealership and they said bring it in to service Tom. What should I do, have them replace the interior trim of the car since it has water damage now?

Never miss out on an opportunity to get free stuff if they offer! See what they say about your interior and go from there. Did it do a lot of damage? Pic?

Strange.
Its such easy install. They just had to clean the area and then press on the new one

But how could possibly some water coming thru that little hole, missing a gasket, ruin the interior? I would say the interior, even when not leather, can stand most kinds of fluids.

Seems the newer cars call for using Window Adhesive ( used on windshields), not teh tape I mentioned, nor the K1 they used
EDIT: Here is a link you can print and show them if you want. States Window Cement is to be used. http://tis.spaghetticoder.org/s/view.pl?1/10/28/30 Not the K1 they invoiced

Exactly. The last thing you want is water leaking into your car interior. I'd be pretty miffed with that. Hope it cleans up okay.

Nice video. I like the machine that puts on the rear window.
The fin should not, of course, leak. I'm surprised that a little water leaking in, once, would cause damage, but the dealer should and probably will cover it. Good luck. |

The car is in the shop again! They don't know how to fix a leak, it's driving me crazy idk what to do anymore. I just want the new York state lemon law to help me. And if any body has had any similar problems with BMW please let me know how it went and what they did.
