instrument cluster and multiple error codes

Can anyone help? I have a 2013 328I and have tons of issues going on.
- instrument cluster intermittent, goes on and off, needles as well and shows every single light when comes back on. Turns on and off consistently.
on screen it shows:
- Hood open
- Parking Brake malfunction
- Steering, Drive moderately
- Brake System
- Left turn Signal malfunction
- Right Brake light malfunction
- Drivetrain malfunction
- Transmission Malfuntion

The battery seemed to be the culprit but when I had the mechanic change the battery and reset and register it the malfunctions came back. They did say a wire might be the cause but is there a component that can be the cause? Any help is greatly appreciated

Oh yes, the battery did it. Without a doubt the most often seen mis-diagnosis.

So what error codes did you or your mechanic pull?

The mechanic did not pull codes because he said he wanted a minimum of 3 hrs troubleshooting since it was a network communication problem with ECU. Has anyone had issues with this many faults at once? It has to be some kind of component? I think? I checked all fuses (3 locations) and they were all good.
I didn't feel comfortable with mech telling me 3 hrs min then if he didnt find it, it would be another 3 hrs. And that was at $150 per hour.

Bullshit. It takes all of five minutes using a code reader that every garage must have. You literally cannot work on a modern car without one. You can even pull codes with freeware apps, like bimmer-tool lite.

You need an OBD Bluetooth to connect the phone to the car. I use one of these, for pulling codes and with Bimmercode:

Once you get codes this can help figure out what they mean and how to troubleshoot:

I used the part from the link i ordered and a reg OBD and received a link error on both. Yes, the ignition was ON lol.. Could it be the DME/ECU that is bad that is causing everything to go crazy?
