A very strange jerking problem.

Hi, I have had a problem with the car for a while. I feel a jerk when accelerating the car. Only in first gear and slightly above 2,000 rpm. Just one jerk as if it were a thump. When I start more gently it does not occur. Interestingly, jerking occurs only in comfort and eco pro modes. When I switch to the sports gearbox in these modes, there is also no jerking. It does not occur when I have the sport and sport+ mode with or without a sports gearbox on.

What could it be?
Has anyone had a similar problem?

Thanks!

Thanks!
Is this at warm up or after the car's been driving for a while?

As far as I know the first gear shift is usually harder than the others but when i flushed my fluids it became noticeably smoother.

But even at warm up, first gear will be a little clunky while the fluid warms up

What is your mileage? +1 on changing trans/diff fluids (regardless if they are not the reason for the jerking, it's critical to keep those components working correctly and for a longer period of time)

Mileage 50,000 miles. I changed the gearbox fluid in October. This seems to happen after warming up. But only above 2000 rpm in combination with eco and comfort mode. Nothing happens when the car is gently moved away. Nothing happens in sport and spotr + mode, regardless of the rpm. Nothing happens when I have my transmission shifted to sport, in any mode.

We have the same bucking issue w/our 340i. It happens to me in any gear, any sport mode (only in rpm range of 1800-2300). Will be replacing the VANOS actuators to get it fixed.

I don't know, maybe. I have this problem only in first gear slightly above 2,000 rpm in the comfort and eco mode and after switching the gearbox to the sport mode it disappears.

Mine does that sometimes and when I push in the clutch it stops.
