Product called goof off worked for me.
But use very little on a shop cloth, and it was out in no time.

Good call!!!

I have some rpf1 wheels on my NSX that are powder coated white. A couple years ago after some track time my wheels were covered in brake dust and have had this horrible stain on the front wheels which I could never seem to get off.

Well, after reading this awesome thread and seeing this post I tried to use the "goo gone" that I had lying around the garage... I tried it and it seem to actually start working, but still not quite....so I squirted some Goo Gone and mixed it with some Purple Power and the shit finally came off!!!

Thanks!!!

I'll post some pics when I'm done

Good job.
just an FYI for the future,
Goo Gone is Citrus Based.
and
Goof Off is Petroleum Based.

I had better results with Goof Off.
but you gotta use very little as it will eat through Clear coat.

Try oven cleaner....it works wonders on baked on break dust. A little trick I learned from my ex's father (who drove formula 2 and petit lemans back in the day) says his guys used it regularly to clean race/track wheels.

Since oven cleaner can remove anodizing from aluminum, I can only imagine what it will do to the paint on alloy wheels. I wouldn't recommend this.

Hence why you put it on and get it off quickly. It won't damage any coatings, I can vouch for that 100%
