Anyone do an ED with Nav-equipped car recently?
I'm starting to think about my 440 ED coming this fall and I have a couple of questions for anyone who has done a recent ED with a Nav-equipped car . . .
Thanks for any help on this guys.

I just did a 2017 F36 430 GC European Delivery in April.
1. The maps are in a USB stick that is inserted in the center arm rest storage. I think this is the only USB slot in the car. If you want to play music I would recommend loading it on your phone and playing it through the AUX-IN port right next to the USB slot. 2. We got HUD intersection "photographs" using the European Maps. Same as I get with my "older" navigation system in my 2014 F31 Touring with HUD. 3. If you are referring to reading European Speed Limit Signs -- the answer is yes. We traveled in 4 Countries - German, Austria, Switzerland and France and the navigation system worked perfectly and we never got lost. Last edited by EBS0712; 05-25-2017 at 01:39 PM.. |

Forgot to add that you can change the units used in the HUD so it reads kilometers. This is helpful so you don't have to continually do the math.

You can also use Bluetooth to play the music on your phone instead of connecting it through the AUX-In port.

1) Still a USB stick. Like previous posters mentioned, you can connect your phone to bluetooth, or another option is to ask the delivery person at the Welt to load your songs on to the Nav harddrive. 2) Don't have HUD on mine, but the new digital dash is pretty handy and reflects information well. 3) Mine does not read Euro road signs.

There was an additional USB port on the center console, but what everyone's saying is correct. The maps are loaded onto a USB stick in the port under the arm rest, but if you install the BMW ConnectedDrive app or use Bluetooth, it works just fine to stream that way too.
