You can for sure dyno a car right before and right after a upgrade and get accurate results - I speak from experience that is why racers actually dyno tune their cars ( I do this with my Mustang) - the ecu does not learn hp torque etc - what it does adapt to is things like throttle response and other parameters - this does take some time depending on the driver etc - I noticed the difference right away on my BMS stage one - but rememeber that is piggy back not a flash -As for dyno numbers there are just that numbers - either performance at the track or butt dyno is the real result you are looking for

Well no one is going to know for sure how much power difference there is and that is what bothers me. We all 100% that Dinan did dynos using their method on a completely stock car. Why is so hard to get those numbers. A before and after of a stock car on THEIR dyno with their methods. Then we can compare the delta to before and afters or the JB4 or MPPK as others have done numerous times already before.

I'm going to be doing a comparison dyno day with a stock 335i, old MPPK, new MPPK, and JB4 in the next week or two. All pulls will be done on the same day, same dyno, back to back. All cars are RWD with 8 speed auto.

Wish we had a Dinan tune in the mix for this but not many people are willing to fork out 2k for this tune especially since they also have pay to have to install as per the Dinan website and a measly 3 day return policy.

Dinan announced their Tune for the 2014 F30 - 335i today. Will be shipping next Monday (9/8).

Not gonna lie...half that thread is a bash Dinan thread so not sure how you would want me to take it...

I plan on getting a before and after dyno so we'll see how it goes
