Alignment after new wheels/tires?

Is it suggested that you get an alignment after you install some new wheels and tires? I went from the stock BMW 18" M wheels on my 328 M to 19 VMR V710FF and was just curious about getting an alignment done?

Changing tires and wheels will not affect your alignment.

If it was good before it will be good after.

Some people get an alignment with new tires to make sure everything is ok and they get maximum life out of the new tires.

Did the old tires wear evenly? If so you are most likely good to go.

Yeah there was pretty even wear on the stock RF's and I was happy with getting 33k out of them..

Thanks for the feedback!

If you do actually need an alignment get it done after the swap not before. If your current tires are uneven they cannot align the car properly until it has virgin rubber on it.

You sure, aren't the measurements taken from the hub and not the tyre?

Wouldn't the tyres would have to be really badly worn to have anything but the most minimal of influence on the tracking?

What about changing from summers to winters and back does that screw up the alignment?
