BMW service partner - how to set up for car?

Can you set up your local dealer to be informed when the car needs a service and do it online?

Seems frustrating that of all the pointless things connected drive can do, the one thing that would be useful is to book itself in for a service - or at least tell a dealer it is due, tell it what is needed, and have an email exchange with the car with an offer - book in on this date and it'll cost £x.

Too much to ask?

How can I link my dealer to my connected account - can't see a way to do it!

Cheers

Hi ajd,

I set this up with my dealer when my car went in for some warranty work, had to sign a form to consent to them calling me when my car requires any service items.

Hope this helps!

Exactly this, got the form by dealer via email, completed, scanned and emailed back to them

Well, I didn't sign up for anything, local dealer rang me telling me it was due. Even told me the mileage till next service. How do they know that?
I have a service pack, so maybe that makes a difference!

Go into settings in the idrive and into vehicle information. Go to where is shows your service items (oil service, brakes, etc) and then toggle the idrive to the right. You can change the Service Partner garage from in there.

It will also add an entry in your phone book with your chosen dealer as the first item.

If your car then needs a service or repair, it will contact your chosen dealer

Hope that helps.

Isn't there an option on Idrive that lets you submit a service request or informs bmw teleservices automatically that service is due on the vehicle?!

Still receive phone calls from bm teleservices re service due on previous F30.
