LED DRL - Installed and working
I didn't like the look of the OEM halogen DRL's so I figured I would try the replacement PW24W LED bulbs from iJDMToy.
The install was straight forward however the LED bulbs don't have the same base as the OEM bulbs. To install you wedge the LED leads between the contacts on the stock connector. Not the cleanest install but they work pretty well. Not as bright as the OEM bulbs but the LEDs look much better in my opinion. I know bulbs aren't very cool but I figured since there is a lack of LED options for those without the lighting package, I should post. Error free so far. Stock halogen vs. LED: Both installed: |

I don't know. Maybe it's just the pic but they look like they throw no light at all. I realize they're DRL's but they really are quite dim. I would think on a bright day they are going to be completely washed out. I know these aftermarket options tend to be quite expensive so for me I would want better than having to jam connectors and dim lights. JMHO

terrible, I thought these were nice. But, after about a week the piece of crap bulb fell out of the socket into my light housing. The base consists of two prongs that's it, so it fell right out while I was driving. It was terrible getting it out, scratched the inside of my light housing unit.

Looks like you picked the 9 SMD led's. The 18 SMD'd should be twice as much brighter since they have twice as many diodes. That said, I would urge anybody looking to mod their Halogen DRL's to hold out until there is a 25W+ cree led option. Flood SMD LED's don't trow out enough lumins to be effective as DTL's.

I thought that F30s have angel eye DRL rings?? No DRL bulb lighting up a specific part of the headlamp surround - but all in DRL rings? Am expecting that corona ring to function as DRL on my 2014 328d.

Not true, some F30 models come with Halogens as standard and the xenon/led's are an upgrade.
