I was just looking on ebay, searching H8 bulb. Some don't specify the colour.

My GP Thunder 7500K I bought from the US a few years ago when I had the e92. I've just been out in the car and did switch the fog lights on to have a look and I don't see any blue at all, only in the reflection inside the unit from the bulb which itself is blue as all the HID look bulbs are.

Thanks Richard, if your 7500k ones are definitely pure white (only the lens looking blue when they're off) I think I will give them a go! Would you mind giving me a link for them?

Thanks, have you put those same ones in your F31 then?

Yes, the are the same as mine. In the pic you can see the blue of the bulb which is what I was referring to, but no blue tint to the light output.

M sport suspension question? HELP?

Ive just joined this website today, and i have a big question which i hope all you BMW enthusiasts will help me with>....

Going to order a 320d m sport auto bmw in estoril blue, with professional sat nab. vis lights pack etc etc. But i cant make my mind up with the suspension. I have a bad back and anything to firm is a problem. One dealer said buy the M sport as it is and add the adaptive suspension option, this will make it softer and you can then turn if you want back to the normal m sport firm setting. another said buy m sport with deleted M suspension and add the adaptive option. I really do like the m sport design and body shape etc but it just the question on suspension thats stopping me at the moment. Has anyone any experience about this and any advice would be appreciated.

You can get non-M Sport suspension on the M Sports; but the Adaptive M Suspension is actually SOFTER than the non-M suspension, on its Comfort setting; while also being harder in Sport mode. In both modes, the car is also more controlled; I definitely get the Adaptive

thats very interesting and most helpful thanks. I know is down to how the car feels as well. I was also thinking of getting 18inch tyres as opposed to 19's to help. Have you or anyone tried the option and do you think it would be an issue if i say sold the car in years to come?

Re. the wheels, the 18's will likely give a softer, better ride. Some will hold out for the 19s, but others will prefer or be happy with the 18s. Personally I don't like the 19s on the F30 - only the F31 - as I think the 18's have a better design to them and suit the car better, while also having the added bonus of the better ride (and cheaper tyres!).

Either way, I don't personally think it will stop most people from buying the car, if everything else is right about it...

I test drove the dealers demonstrator which was on 17in winter tyres,a 330 m sport with adaptive and in comfort mode it was spot on for general running, my car has 19s fitted which do feel stiffer even in comfort, im going to get an aftermarket set of 17s and tyres,if I was speccing one again id stick with the std 18s

M sport suspension

Thanks guys for your advice.
I tried at dealers today the f30 sport demo ,the ride was fine and comfortable,
Tech eng suggested buy m sport with adaptive suspension ( extra 515 ) gives option for comfort or firm . The 320d auto really moved well a big improvement own previous model m sport. Also they suggested I could consider the petrol version as my mileage will be less than 12k per year. Anyone out there compared the two options ? Diesel or petrol.
