(N47 328d) Can I Build A Twin-Exit Rear Exhaust Without Modifying DEF?

I have a 2015 328d m sport wagon. Ordered an AK style twin exit diffuser, and therefore want to have an exhaust shop build me a custom rear end that is a straight pipe to a twin-exit.

I haven't lifted the car up as I've only bought it a few months ago -- does the DEF connect to the midpipe section or the muffler section? Is it possible to have an exhaust like this built without needing to modify the DEF portion?

Thanks all.

Should be able to without modifying the DEF feed, however, if I remember correctly the DEF tank sits where your second pipe would exit

You will not be able to make it a function dual exhaust without removing the DEF tank.
