Aren't those lights suppose to remain amber color for public safety (ie DOT)?
Or are some people so obsessed with form over function they disregard the law and the safety of others on the road? |

Hi,
I also want to get rid of that "HEINOUS" Yellow Amber color in my front corners... Is all you need a Bulb? Or do you need to replace something else and the bulb? I would want to do a white or hyperwhite (Blueish) bulb Anything to get rid of that yuck yellow The back lights are all red right? So all I would need to do is the amber yellow corners and fog lights.. Also what about the amber yellow side mirrors? I would love to change that out too... And what about the yellow reflector on the front bumper? Has anyone changed that out as well? Something clear or clear with a blue bulb? |

Add my name to the list of people who would be interested in replacing the turn signal bulbs with LEDs. (In the UK they'd have to be amber LEDs to meet regulations). There seem to be various threads dotted about regards this mod, the main problems being that the LEDs either throw an error code or they 'flicker' (or both).
Need a 'sticky' thread to follow progress on this potential mod

This is so stupid my 2009 335 facelift has better turning signals. Back and front are LED. I don't know why they down grade something new like that. That's the only problem I have with F30.

Seriously, the E90 LCI looks newer than the F30 just bc of the LED's!

It is stupid. I'm sure they do it so at the LCI they can put them back in but at some point they need to stop. It should have LED's from the start. Cars that cost half as much as my 328i come with them.

Hey I just got my car I want to changes the turn signal to turn on white because my has the DRL so I think it would look cool. But in order to make it work you have to wire a recistro in correct and is that hard to do? And what is the correct led bulb to use?

I paid 22.00 shipped for the 2 bulbs from BMW . Installed them when I did the reflectors, took 5 seconds.
