Coding app
Anyone seen the Carly for BMW Lite app that's just appeared in my Facebook feed? Claims to do coding?

I think you need the Pro version £34.99 to do coding though.

My mate has the full pro app and corresponding Bluetooth adapter and has coded loads of stuff on his 09 plate 3 series, he trip it on mine but did not work but that's only because BMW updated my ecu software and it's not compatible once BMW update the software. Carly will catch up soon, there are only 2 modules available for the F30 platform but more will follow

So has anyone used a third party BT OBDII dongle with it? I've done coding with a Netbook but if it's just ticking off check boxes and selecting save, this would be much faster

I'm not impressed with them. I've found them to be "economical with the truth" on their web site - lots of promises and things coming next for F series then email drops announcing yet another car manufacturer supported (Porsche yesterday). What they say works does work but there is a lot of inference about other features. I was sure that battery coding would be free but when it arrives it's another extra on top of having paid for the app.
