After the recent influx of CTS Turbo and Phoenix FMICs that people have been buying, there's also been an influx of arguing with a lack of data for how they compare to FMICs that have been around for longer (VRSF, Wagner, etc). I did some logs today to hopefully give other people more information when looking to purchase the CTS Turbo IC.

I'm FBO PWG 335 and I was running ~E40 during these logs. The ambient temp was around 50F. All logs were done in DTC completely off, besides the first 3-4 log in Map 5.

Map 5 Logs:
Log 1: I did two sets of pulls , going from ~2k in 3rd all the way to ~6k in 4th. Then I immediately slowed back down to ~2k in 3rd and repeated it up to ~6k in 4th.
Log 2: I then drove for ~2 mins to cool off and did a pull from ~2k to ~7k in 3rd and then immediately slowed down to ~2k in 3rd and did a pull all the way to 6.2k in 4th. I wasn't concerned with IAT after a single pull, but more so wanted to see the IAT climb over repeated pulls.

Log 1: http://datazap.me/u/klekram/map-5-ge...log=0&data=1-4
Log 2: http://datazap.me/u/klekram/map-5-ge...log=1&data=1-4

Outcome:
Log 1: I started out with an IAT of 64F, ended up at 82F after the second pull.
Log 2: I started out with an IAT of 68F, ended up at 93F.

Map 7 Logs:
For both these logs, I did a pull from ~2k in 3rd, shifted at ~5.8k into 4th, and then shifted ~5.8k into 5th. On both of these logs, I hit my top speed limiter of 130mph, hence why I couldn't keep going in 5th.

Log 1: http://datazap.me/u/klekram/map-7-ge...&data=1-4-6-19
Log 2: http://datazap.me/u/klekram/map-7-ge...g=1&data=1-4-6

Outcome:
Log 1: I started out with an IAT of 64F, ended up at 87F.
Log 2: I started out with an IAT of 60F, ended up at 86F.

I don't have any logs before the FMIC, but overall I'm happy after seeing that FBO cars with stock FMIC see IAT's climb into 130+F.

I'm also interested in any feedback on these logs, I was testing out a higher E85 mix and wanted to see how my car responded as well as to see if I had any possible boost leaks. I've never logged to dial in my JB4 properly. I see my FF keeps adapting to 149-150 and this is what concerned me.

Good results. Basically the same as my phoenix. These 2 perform well for the money.

I was going to post a thread as well... glad you did it before me so now I don't have too :P

Anyways, I just installed my CTS FMIC yesterday. Piece looks nice, welds all smooth and didn't see any quality issues. Direct fitment on my 335i m sport, no modification needed... though it was a bit of a tight fit, it sits perfect on the stock mounting points.

Now for comparison. My car is FBO n55, JB4 and was running e30 on map 5 - I was hitting nearly 17-18 psi midrange, with boost tapering up top. The weather was similar for the runs. SAME DAY, SAME FUEL, SAME TUNE/BOOST.

Yes I actually wound out my car... all of 4th through nearly top of 5th on my 6MT (roughly 130mph) Starting temps were 70 IAT for both runs. STOCK IC up to 118 IAT, CTS only got up to 86. 32 degree difference lower with the CTS.

nice pulls but im sure some vendors will say they were not good enough. CTS Turbo is definitely on my list for charge pipe and FMIC.
