350z...easier to defeat than a snowy driveway :
Good stuff though! I haven't gone up against anyone yet, but hopefully that will change soon...

I surprised the hell out of a guy in a 370Z with the NISMO package. We were stuck next to each other the whole way. I think this N20 is a great engine and VERY quick off the start!

N20:
beat a 2012 mustang v6 (305HP) from about 70-110 mph. although those things are limited to like 113 mph because their driveshaft is made of what may possibly be cardboard (used to own one ) beat an e92 238 from a start and on the highway. beat an 2012 A4 on the highway easily... hmm hee...what else.... other than a handful of early 2000’s honda fart mobiles, i did beat a BRZ as well from a dead stop.

Torque, without it you are screwed. Glad to see the 328 is handling business

A guy wanted to race onto the freeway in his Challenger SRT8 392. I kindly declined as I know he had almost 200hp/tq on me.
I've killed many Prius's on the highway though! But they make me nervous when I pass them going 80 mph. |

Good race for me with a charger SRT8 up to 130 but had to slow down as we were coming up on traffic. I would say he was never ahead of me by more than 1 car length.
I raced my own (driven by somebody else obviously) C63 and it was not even close from the start. Time for the JB

I raced a 135i in my G37x, from 50 maybe but he had started accelerating maybe 3 s before me. The lead was at least 5-7 car lengths. I knew I had to change cars at that stage. Did I mention the road was wet.

I went up against a late model S4 on the highway with my base 328i ... Stayed with the car up to 131 (limited non sport} but he wasn't going up past that anyway. So we were with each other pretty much the while time.

There is no skill in holding the wheel straight and flooring it. Plus a ticket would just be a hassle. Go to the track and guaranteed a few miatas will take you to school. The same with civics e46 323s whatever other car is out there. Dont be the guy in a 335 getting blown by by a 328. LOL.

You don't need much skill with a slushbox, I agree. Totally different story with a manual. Not many people know how to properly drive a manual aggressively.

Perhaps, but he was not racing.
An F30 will not pace a car that runs mid-twelves into three digit speeds. At best he was holding back to see what your car would do. Besides, who cares? Anyone can hold a foot feed to the floor and steer in a straight line. Who wins to 130 MPH is determined by the car. So what? |
