Replacing bulbs

I don't have a F30 but I was just wondering how difficult is it to replace the low beam bulbs in the halogen headlights? In other words does the whole headlight housing have to be removed? They're a pain in the $&#% in my Audi to replace.

The high beams are easy, they're accessed under the hood. The lows are accessed inside the wheel wells. You don't have to pull the wheels, but it's a lot easier if you do.
