2013 F30 M-Sport
I currently own a 08 135i (N54) and love it! I'm thinking of doing a "Military Sale" from out here in Guam. I have been in the Navy for about 8 years and currently stationed in guam, which happens to be one of the 5 spots in the world where you can order a brand new BMW under a military sale. I went to price one out 2 days ago and had some questions.
Im still deciding on a color...i like the Estoril blue that comes with M-sport but not too sure if im in love with it. I saw a pic on google of one with suede seat and blue stitching. Does anyone know if this is an option? Also, i want to know if i am getting a good deal. Current options are: M-Sport line 19" wheels with perf tires (im not a fan of these wheels either, but i guess they are the best option for now) i will prob go with the BMW F10 M5 reps Paddle shifters HK upgraded sound system tech package They are submitting the paperwork to germany now and are expecting the price to be just shy of $50K. It will be delivered to Dallas TX (my home town) when I transfer from Guam in 6 1/2 months. What do you guys think? |

US spec cars come with either leather or pleather only. NO cloth or microfiber seats for us.
I assume you are looking at a 335i since you mention 19" wheels? Use http://www.bmwconfig.com/BmwConfig/Config.aspx and build your configuration. Compare MSRP to invoice. 335i has about 6.25% markup. Good luck. |

Those nice seats with the blue stitching are not available in the US, I believe.
If you're going to go with the M5 reps, which I'm doing as well, why spend the $900 or $1000 on the 19" upgrade? My car is on a ship in the Atlantic and those 18" wheels are coming off ASAP. The EB is the flashiest color BMW offers. IMO, BMW lacks in the choice of colors. I like metallic paint with flake in it and has some depth in the sun. I think the EB is best looking. But, I'm totally bias. Plus, EB is proprietary to M-Sport. Per the previous poster, check your price on bmwconfig.com. About $600 over invoice is a good price and now BMW has incentives. Don't forget about your USAA discount. |

Not trying to point out the obvious but, EB II is an optional color with M sport, doesn't "come with" M sport. Don't know if that's what you meant, but you do have other color choices if you don't like it.

OP I was curious did the sales rep there say if you would pay sales tax on the car upon your return?
Like others have stated if you are paying at or slightly above invoice you're getting a good deal. I'm Military as well and orderd a similar set up minus the paddle shifters as I went manual, 18''s and went M-sport over Sportline. I was at 45k. |

Not liking BMW leather, I've posted a few times asking if others have gone for aftermarket leather upholstery. Never got a response on this board. |
