Guys,
I have been doing a bit of work getting a sheet together on what can be coded and have attached it for you info. Some of the sheets going around have all sorts of things on them and quite a lot are not relevant to our market, its also in a larger font so I can read the bloody thing! I havent done all of these things to my current car but I do plan on do the entire list on the new car next Friday, just to make sure they work. If you are coming on the 23rd and would like anything coded can you please make sure it is on the attached sheet. If its not on the sheet and you would like something else done please let me know. Be safe. H |

Hi everyone
I know that this would have been covered already in the coding thread somewhere, but can someone advise what software and hardware I need to make the coding changes and where I can get it from. I am in Perth and there are a few things such as ASS and that up disclaimer that annoy me enough to want to get rid of. Thanks |

The first thing to do would be to read this post, or at least parts of it, http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=696777 There is a lot of info in that post which will answer almost every question you can think of. The second thing to day would be to send shawnsheridan a PM and he will send you all the links for software. I haven't got the details of the cable you will need with me but Shawn will also be able to give you a link to that as well. If you have any questions please let me know. Good luck! H |

The digital speedo, unfortunately, is not that exciting. First of all you need the extended cluster and it is displayed where the fuel range, avg Kms, date and so on are. You scroll through with the end of the indicator stalk. I did it, had a look at it and dont use it, I prefer to know the fuel range. H |

Guys,
Do we have a wet weather contingency? At this stage all reports point to heavy rain and thunder storms. I don't think the original location is particularly wet weather friendly.

If the weather is really going to be that bad it would be better to be under cover to do the coding though, maybe Westfield at Hornsby? We could all park somewhere safe and still grab a coffee or something there? It seems as though there are only about half a dozen guys coming? On another note I coded everything on my list this morning on my car and it took about 35 minutes and all seems to be working fine H |

If I lived in Sydney I would join you all.
I am just waiting for all the software to download and for the cable to arrive, then I can give the coding a go. Hope that I do not stuff things up. The software is taking ages to download. Really looking forward to getting rid of the ASS. This should default to the off option as standard as it is such a pain in traffic for the sake of a little bit of fuel economy. |

New car is great. Love the colour, love the interior, love the seats, love the pro nav, love the suspension, love the new wheels, love the black grills.
I'm looking forward to getting the m steering wheel just to top it all off. Don't love the cream floor mats though, who in their right mind would have cream floor mats! I'm easy about Sunday but I think we should make a call on it sooner rather than later. H |

Is there still room for one more to join tomorrow? Have had some plans change and was thinking of coming up to meet everyone that's going and get a couple of things coded.
I don't have any wet weather suggestions as I don't spend too much time up that way. |

Guys it appears everyone has pulled out of meeting at the Sydney meet point.
So I won't be attending the meeting point I outlined earlier. So everyone can just meet at the Peats Ridge location

Hey guys, ended up being on the road all night and I can't really stomach a wet weather cruise up north tomorrow. If anything changes in the morning I'll post on here.
Stay safe out there. |
