Anyone else notice some M Performance Parts are no longer available?
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com It would be cool if BMWNA pulled these because they are going to come out with a carbon fiber-only finish. Anyone have connections to find out what's going on? |

Yeah, would love to have the M-Performance lip and skirts in CF, as the rest of my car's details were done in CF (mirrors, shifter, trunk spoiler).

I hadn't noticed, I too would be interested in a CF front lip.

Can't speak for the website, but your local BMW Dealer parts guy has the bulletin in his inbox and the part numbers have been release from national hold.

Three points:
1. BMW North America got back to me regarding my inquiry (way behind E30M3Driver's confirmation) to the F30 335i sedan's M Performance Power Kit. The official bulletin release and part# should take through the end of the week to propagate to your local dealership. 2. MSRP can be released by your local dealer (as per BMWNA) since it is not yet up on the BMWNA website. 3. I also asked about the front-end splitter no longer showing up as a separate line-item on BMWUSA AND BMW.com websites. Although speculating (yet anecdotal), he informed me this could very well indicate a change-up in products from an older to newer version and the newer part should be introduced in the next couple weeks (based on historical evidence). He also indicated that almost all their M Performance Aerodynamic parts are moving toward Carbon Fiber throughout all BMW line offerings. Again, take this on its face. Finally, he also suggested to keep an eye on BMW.com instead of BMWUSA for M Performance accessories as BMWNA will normally follow whatever Germany releases (which makes sense). Just passing fun info along. |
