I've seen it first hand. I go to ocean terminals often! Including the Dundalk NJ and MD and I can't tell you how many I your guy's new Bimmers I've seen there. It's a cool sight indeed!

This is good to know. Leaving the vinyl body covering is pretty neat too. It had it on the new 3 I picked up for the parents.

I always worried about that. I had a friend that loaded cars in the Hamburg harbor and his supervisor sure had fun with the exclusive cars. I cringed when I thought of my M3 or more recently the i8...... Oh well, too late.

The bag system is not necessarily any better than the protective film system.

BMW has also used the bag system before, especially on SUV's, but they tend to like the film protection more.

There are a number of pros and cons to both.

on the west coast we get shipments of GTR's once every little while. the workers know what they're driving and do shit kick them

Plates are assigned to the cars. Not to owners. Every time you buy a new or used car, you get whatever plate comes with it. Vice versa when you sell.
