I think this looks like an early 2000s Civic with a Mercedes front. Maybe even a Corolla......

I don't like it AT ALL! I think it looks gross. The side creases look stupid and the front end looks way too big. I would never drive that ugly thing.

This is a nice alternative. The 4 series coupe is going to start at 45k, the 435 will be 50k starting.

Not a huge fan of FWD, but I'd certainly pick up one of these before I bought an F30/F32.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....I threw in a few extra chuckles at your maintenance costs if you choose this thing.

Meh, maintenance cost is a tertiary factor for me.

When I car shop I generate my short list by what is aesthetically pleasing to me, and then I filter from there. If a car is ugly, I don't care what else it has going for it, I don't want it. IMO, the F30/F32 are hideous, whereas the CLA would at least make it past that first round of cuts.

I am sure you are just looking for a rise out of the F30 owners on here, so I am not going to fall into that trap. I do think that your opinion is a very small fraction of the world mentality however. Good luck with that.

You would be kidding yourself if BMW hasn't already factored in maintenance costs into the msrp of their cars. Benz prepaid maintenance most times can be negotiated in for free from your salesman. Same goes for an Audi and the prepaid Audi Cares program. Honestly, I wouldn't worry about maintenance cost from BMW, Benz, or Audi. As long as you are not keeping the car long term and/or rack up a lot of miles.

I was laughing more at the fact that someone was saying this car was better looking than any other car. The maintenance factor was just another thing to laugh at. I doubt they would throw in free maintenance for the lowest car on the totem pole.

Dealt with Audi Care, can't speak for MBZ but I know the benz parts are 2-3x Bimmer parts cost and Audi care really sucks for what it covers and how limited it is.

Had Audi Cares as well a couple years back, didn't find it any different that my current BMW. All my schedule maintenance costs were free. I negotiated Audi Cares into my deal. It covered a lot, including brakes like BMW. What does it matter what Benz, BMW, Audi, etc. parts cost? When you have full new car warranties and free/prepaid maintenance. Basically are costs can be built into the purchase price of each car.

But if you plan on keeping the car for a long period of time. German cars in general cost a boat load to maintain out of their warranties.

To be honest they do it all the time for all their cars, just have be a decent negotiator. Benz breaks their prepaid maintenance into years. You can get 1-5 years, however long you plan to own or lease the car.

This is along the lines of what I was referring. I checked these two as well.......they were terrible even though I had cash in hand. Meh.....to each their own.

Not really, if you've got an F30 an you're happy with it then more power to you. I recognize that aesthetics are extremely subjective, hence why you'll note that I really said nothing bad about the F30/F32 other than the fact that they make me throw up in my mouth when I look at them. I'm sure they are fine cars, I just won't be considering one when it comes time for my next purchase.

i think it looks amazing, one of MB's best designed cars considering how awkward i think the C class looks. Only thing i hate is the FWD

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I like the new F30. You really need to dig that design.
