Yea it is big, it's really a smaller 5'er. Sometimes I really have to do a double take to spot the difference between them lol. But having said that, I think the F30 shape is great~! obviously biased but love it over the e90 shape. I love the bonnet and the nose of the car

I've been thinking about the long bonnet and it's been growing on me this afternoon. I think it's nice - very nice. in profile, the nose of the car looks absolutely vertical, a nice look in my opinion.
I can see that no matter how many photos are taken of the car, it's very deceiving because the photos fail to show off the very 3 dimensional build of the car. I can't wait to see what my M-Sport is going to reveal.

Certainly doesn't feel bigger though. In some ways I think the e92 felt bigger. Maybe thats just perception - larger doors on the coupe, etc.
And yes, photos rarely do it justice.

How have you found the rear seats in your F30 compared to the e92's? The rear seats in the e92 surprisingly has quite a lot of room I think

I've only seen two registered F30s on the road here in Sydney since I ordered mine - likely I'd seen more before that and just hadn't noticed them until now. I spotted one Sapphire Black Luxury Line with 18s in Ashfield and then today I spotted a Havanna Modern Line around Lane Cove.
Just on the size thing, I definitely feel that the F30 is a lot roomier. The first time I looked at buying a BMW it was an E46 back in the mid 2000s and on my first and only testdrive I found my head constantly bumping off of the roof (thanks to standing 6'2"); I discounted the 3 series ever since. I ended up with a company car for several years but when I went back to buy my own, I originally went in to the dealer to buy a stock-as-a-rock 520d and once I sat in the 3 series and found it much roomier than its predecessor, I ended up taking a 320d with a few options and a bit of $$ back in my pocket.

Yeah, I always thought the e92 rear seats were quite roomy. Probably because it was a 2+2 setup. The f30 seats seem spacious enough by comparison. I've had 3 adults in the rear without any complaints. I will say they seem a bit firm though! Possibly because there's extra reinforcement for the split fold seats, who knows. You certainly don't feel like you sink into the seats, in fact they're almost board like. But then again, I never really sit in them unless I'm cleaning the car, so it doesn't matter . I like the folding headrests and the centre armrest with pass through.

I think the additional leg room is fantastic. It's one of the few things I always test when getting a new car. I'm a 5' 11" and I actually find it quite confortable at the back, comparing it to our 528. The back room doesn't seem any much bigger in the 5 series 2 inches more thats about it.
