We've seen a lot of Europe
London nights in nice hotels / theatre/ restaurant
Spa days
Clay shooting

I am stuck for ideas...

I have booked Mercedes Brooklands. The C63 as she has always wanted to try one. That's only an hour though. BMW track days were in May - the month after.

New York tickets will be presented but the trip is in December!

Spoke with the kids and that was disappointing. They don't seem to be planning anything for their mum this year. Eighteen year old boy and 20 year old girl living away from home so probably trying to save money.

Never had a problem planning her birthday before.

Any ideas appreciated other than creating another portable nuisance device! Socks on and lights off as God intended.

If you are looking for a present - what about a Mulberry handbag?

I always go by the mantra, ‘something shiny, something sexy and something daft, but personal’.

So Jewellery, (maybe something bespoke if you’ve time), underwear, my other half loves this more than shoes and daft is usually Lego technic. She loves Lego and technology, so for christmas she got the technic 4x4 truck and carousel. The carousel was the daft personal bit as earlier in the year we spent some time in San Diego and on the front they have an original German carousel which she loved.

Works for me every year.

Did that for Christmas
Bought her the Bayswater but... that could be an idea as there is a Mulberry purse she was after. Could get the matching purse. Think I will do that!

This is a good tip. I think the daft gift would be a Mr Frosty. She always wanted one as a kid and speaks about making ice lollies. Will do that.

Stuck on what else to do during the day. Organising a get together crossed my mind.

you started young!

I think up to kids getting proper jobs on proper money I funded their presents to their mum - they decided and ordered, I refunded....

Purse sounds a good idea.

Does she like shopping? any favourite shop? maybe organise a session with a personal shopper in that shop if she does - with some cash to spend obvs...

And of course a night in a nice hotel in London is always good (but I would say that...)

BMW performance driver days at Goodwood? They start next month. Combine it with an overnight stay, plenty of nice things to see and do.

I was thinking the same.. if you are doing this for her 35th you are really going to have to go to town for her 40th..

Presents at various birthdays have included, Mountain bike, Pan set, new vacuum cleaner, a full bucket set for cleaning her car along with wash mitt and Gwash.

This year could be a challenge, although her ironing board is looking a bit long in the tooth..

Woman has been there by my side through cancer. When I was stabbed in an unprovoked attack. When I had a hernia so severe they told me I had 6 hours or septicaemia would be a problem. When I lost my job. Still think that was because of stress. I don't think there is a bar for me. I do whatever I want/can and she always appreciates it. Never complained about how last year was better.

She has hinted at a Dyson V8 to clean the cars / kitchen. Will look into that.
