For me, I am much more interested in 50 to 80 roll on times as this is more real world useful. There is always too much technique required in launching a car from stop so 0 to 60 is always somewhat dodgy.

0-60 time 4.4 sec

So I finally was able to grab some open road and I wanted to share my 2014 335ix msport line with mppk and mpe time. I pulled 4.4 sec 0-60. This was with launch control but without launch control technically active (because I couldn't figure out how to work it and my auto start stop was keeping it was from activating at first) I pulled 4.5 with just braking reving.

For anyone having problems with launch control, two things I learned.

I assumed that putting it in sport + would negate the need to check the auto start/stop button. I was wrong. If you were in eco pro mode earlier and didn't turn off the auto start stop, launch control will be held back even in sport +.

I noticed that the launch control flag doesn't really appear until after you let off the brake. At first I thought I would rev and see the flag and then know to let go but I realized that you don't see it until after you rev and let go of the brake. That was my perception at least.

I think this, as well as other posts, shows that mppk and mpe is a great no hassle mod that gets great results.

Pardon the ignorance, but is there a certain rev range that the launch control is putting the car into? It seems that usually right around or just above 2,000 RPMs is the way to go from what I've read, but I have no first hand experience yet.

It's good to see such good results in real world driving. Granted, you were in cold, dense temps aiding the turbo, but whatever. 4.4 is what the major mags are claiming.

Now find a long, deserted stretch and try a 0-100 run. I'd venture to say you'd be in the low to mid 10 second range.

Has someone ever tested the MPPK (340hp) in combination with a catted downpipe and no further tune?

im currently running MPPK(not 340, am 2013 supposed to be 330 i guess) with full catless exhaust+IPE exhaust + pure stage 1,IC,CP,BMC filter.. works fine but sometimes feels jerky in sport+ at 2k rpm
it seems like the turbo spools bit earlier than stock turbo or something. but after 2.5k rpm and full throttle its nice

ofc when i use jb4 it goes 10x harder than this.

just got my mppk installed on a 2014 335i. Under sports mode, noticed the shifts were faster and the pickup is noticeable once im above 2500.

I got the mppk off a dealer on ebay for 1000 and install was 2 hours labor at the dealer.

Well worth it in my opinion.

Wow I think I have read enough about the MPPK I think I'm definitely going to install it on my 2013 335i. I currently have nothing but cosmetic stuff: gloss black whiskers instead of those ugly silver ones by the fogs, M Performance gloss black kidney grills to match with the SportLine trim gloss black mirrors, and finally a M Performance replica wing in gloss black with gloss black 335i lettering, and gloss black lower rear bumper trim.

I got the MPE from a BMW dealer out in Jersey off ebay last one left $750 shipped!! And I threw on an aFe Pro5 oiled filter to hear the turbo spool a bit louder haha.

For those of yall with either the N54 or N55 F30 cars has your jb4 fried or have you fried your DME from it under completely dry conditions and properly insulated wiring.
I had a jb4 installed at a very reputable exotic sportscar custom shop because I know the owner so we did it right. However a year later I wanted more power. To be honest it only felt like the jb4 made the car a little more responsive in reducing turbo lag on highway speeds nothing more. Nothing about their claimed 15hp or some nonsense on a stock 335i based on BMS's website.

So I should have learned my lesson but instead upgraded to stage two which actually has several MAP settings to choose. Again this was professionally installed at my friend's exotic custom shop. Ran it no more than 4 months the jb4 stage 2 fried my DME. Barely even noticed any power or torque gains....but the MPPK is no joke huh?

I brought the car to a good friend of mine who is a SA at another BMW dealership 45 min away and he said a client with a 535i with the same N55 motor running stage 2 jb4 fried his DME as well.

I have no doubts that the jb4 is great on older BMWs but certainly not any of these new F cars. Four BMW dealerships all say that these new DMEs I. Any F car is meant to stop afternarket tuners from damaging something in the engine and getting BMWNA to front the bill as a warranty repair.

The price of a new DME and labor was $2,835.92 on a vehicle that only had 20,200 miles. For added bonus they threw in a new BMW battery because apparently mine was no longer working even though the car drove fine into all these dealerships and shops. Apparently BMW batteries are $313.18!!!!

Never EVER EVER go to Midtown BMW for anything unless you have an inside man as your sales agent. I was able to get my F30 335i Sportline package with every possible option except lane departure. Total sticker was around $53,500...I drove out of there with TTL $40,000 even.

Always pays to know the dealer's actual invoice price and also the right time to buy when they are pressured by the owners on inventory tax lol. Too bad my cousin no longer works there he's moved onto a medical career....

Just curious, how accurate is this app for the iphone i've seen so many people use to time their 0-60 times? 4.4seconds seems insanely fast! Makes me very excited to pack on some more miles on my car as quickly as possible so I can really open it up (only at 200miles on the motor so far).

Thanks for sharing!

I wouldn't run an oiled filter due to the oil screwing up the sensors.

It gets its readings from the car, so if the cars ECU is accurate, so is the app. If you start screwing with tire sizes and mess up the ecu and speedo, then it won't be accurate.

Doesn't the speedo work off the transmission? Tire size shouldn't affect it then.

I haven't the foggiest idea where it comes from on these cars.

I just downloaded the M Performance App. It keeps asking for the OBD stick. says I need to connect it to the OBD connector.

Anyone know what it's talking about? Also, does the phone need to be on a mount of some kind? Or can I just plug it into the USB?

Thanks for any info.

Shawn,

Do you have the code/ instructions to do so? The MPPK hardware for the 335i is
only $850 at www.getbmwparts.com. It will be a great saving for everyone.

What does dealer charge for complete MPPK with installation?

I have a good source for this, that after receipt of order can retrieve the MPPK FSC Code from BMW Server, then remotely Import and Activate the FSC Code in DME, and then Flash DME with new firmware and Encode it.

To use M Performance Drive Analyser app, you have to buy BMW specific OBD key to your dealer
The connection is only via OBD key and not via USB
If you mean the simpler app M Laptimer, you can you use it via USB.

Wow! Awesome!!

Does anyone know if the items of kit are the same in PPK for 330xd? I asked and some people said the engine cover and air filter in the kit are for 335i only. There is only ECU in the PPK of 330d. Please advise...

Thanks!

MPPK kit for 330d includes engine cover, as well as for 35i, and bigger Intercooler, instead of the airbox with an additional front hole (not air filter) as in 35i kit
