Not really a mod, but I did include what research I had found on spark plugs for the N55. At present finding reliable information on spark plugs for our engine is hard, so I included what I have found after about two days of research and questioning tuners (Cobb & BMS, mainly).

ECU Tuning Group makes tunes as well. I haven't had my car DYNO'd yet but they claim +70 rwhp with their tune alone.

ECU remap is not yet possible on F30. (Only on the first very few samples of 335).

Other than MPPK, is there any other engine that will give the correct power and torque figures in the sport display?

Do you have an aftermarket downpipe also...or no? On a scale of 1-10, if your stock exhaust loudness is a 1, where would you put the S-Type? Once warmed up, is it still a lot louder than stock? Having mine installed in two weeks when it arrives (they were back ordered from Borla)...

We just recently added a 2014 F30 N55 to our family and I was sad to see that there was no comprehensive N55 F30 Mod List. So after hours and hours of researching what I want to do to my car, this is what I’ve put together. It is by no means a complete or perfect list, but I’ll try to keep it updated/improved as things move forward. Please feel free to leave your links, reviews, feedback, announcements of new items, etc. as replies to this thread. I’ll try to retro-update the main post as yours come in.

Please point out any errors I made either in reply or by directly PM’ing me. Also, if you want something added to the list the best way is to PM me as I might miss your reply or take time to get around to it.

I will try to keep this updated as new items/information is released. Will try to provide links to review threads as I find them. Hopefully we can get this to the point that it will be a sticky for new members.

LAST UPDATED: 03-20-2014

Please note that the N55 F30 is different than the N55 e90. Check out this great list by FrankiE90 over on the e90post.com forums for N55 E90 Mod List.

Notice: Mod at your own risk. Don’t take this thread as your one-stop source of information. Research each mod before you purchase it. Adding aftermarket parts to your car may void your Factory/Extended warranty. Consider converting your car back to stock when having warranty work performed.

Spark Plugs[LIST=1][*]Stock BMW Plugs (Gap at 0.8mm/0.031") - Slightly expensive but will suffice for most FBO cars with a modest tune. PSI over 15psi should consider upgraded plugs. Others should upgrade too If you are having rough idle or misfire on new stock plugs, you should consider changing to the below plug(s)[*]Iridium NGK 5992 (Gap at 0.66mm/0.026") - Good for most all setups. Consider tightening gap to 0.022" if you are running upgraded turbo or meth/e85 mix (applies to e90 N55 only, at present). Anything between 0.024" and 0.028" should give you good performance with no misfire. If you use these on a full stock car go ahead and gap at 0.028". The 0.026" seems to be the most stable (FBO, stock turbo, 17psi, 91-93 Octane). If rough idle or misfire for lower psi or non-FBO cars, move the gap up towards 0.028". If you are FBO and at 16psi or higher and still have problems, move the gap down towards 0.022" (typically 0.024 should do you good..from research, I haven't seen many using the 0.022" unless they had done major upgrades on snail and/or running meth/e85 mix).

Have you confirmed the AA FMICs directly with AA? Their site does not list an FMIC for the F-series cars.

OT: Yes, the install was a pain in the arse. Took about 4 hours. The hardest part was getting the old pipe out. OUCH!

Pricey for 354, if I remember correctly they also offer a one year warranty, and test (if you live near them)

Also the aFe intake also comes without the box and window (probably requires more cleaning), any reason you link wasn't to aFe?
