So here is some background info that maybe relevant

P0597 (Thermostat Open) is constant
F30 2015 BMW 320I XDrive (N20)

Vehicle was purchased through Military BMW auto sales in Germany. Car is currently in Georgia. The vehicle is US Spec, oddly shows as Military vehicle in the dealerships computers and shows NON-US spec on the BMW myGarage website, but is confirmed to be US Spec when i contacted BMW NA.

BMW NA sees no extended warranty for the thermostat warranty attached to this VIN. The initial BMW NA rep looked up the SI B01 01 16 and confirmed that my vehicle should be applicable, but couldn't say why my VIN was not included in the system.

The initial BMW NA rep opened up the issue to a case manager, she contacted me yesterday and said my vehicle could just be built differently with different parts and that's why the extended warranty might not be applicable, but she couldn't say for certain. She will further "research" this issue, but I'm pretty sure this will lead to a denial. This seems odd to me as this is still a US Spec vehicle and should covered.
