If you were to ask me what car I would buy (not lease) and keep for 5+ years, I think I would go with the Lexus IS350 F Sport RWD. It has slightly less power than the 335i, but it has a ZF8 automatic and I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of power/acceleration for long term reliability.

I would certainly take the IS350 F Sport RWD over the 328i M Sport RWD, but I prefer my current 335i M Sport.

I think you may be incorrect about the Lexus 8 speed. I believe it's a Toyota in-house product. Not a ZF.

It is an in-house unit, and only available on the RWD model. AWD comes with a 6-speed unit.
