Best wax?

What would all of you suggest to use on alpine white? Best wax for my car.

Can of worms my friend...

The answer: it depends...

What's your priority?
-Cost?
-Longevity?
-Depth/Shine?
-Ease of application?

There are tradeoffs. Do you want to do it once and be done with it? Or do you like detailing?

If you like Meguiar's look at their Professional #26 Yellow wax. I've had good luck with it. Likely OK to use #26 now on your new car. Later you may want to clean and polish b4 wax. I really like the Meguiar's Swirl Remover. Its a good light cleaner and works well to remove fine scratches with no residual. http://www.meguiars.com/en/professional/products/

I also like the P21s Paste and Carnuba wax. The paste is easy to apply and remove. Carnuba is more work.

Last, I also like Colinite's. They have a lot of products as well. Their Insulator wax is awesome and super easy to apply/remove. Lasts a long time too. OK to use on a new car. For more serious waxing, look at the super doublecoat or the marque d elegance.

There's many other good options out there. I've even used and am OK with the BMW wax. Its probably overpriced for a cleaner/wax, but some prefer it since its got the logo on it.

Are you specifically looking for a carnuba based wax?
For longevity and protection I prefer a polymer sealant (favorite is Zaino). They can last several months of regular washing and if you really want the glow of a wax, you can top the sealant with some Pinnacle or other white carnuba wax.
There really are a ton choices and opinions to go with them.

I use Pinnacle Souveran on my Estoril Blue 335 i xdrive. It really brings out the depth in the paint. It is a carnauba wax and is a wipe on wipe off proposition. It is really easy to work with although it is somewhat expensive. I figure you could get about 25 or so waxes out of a tin so that helps. Seems worth the money compared to some other products I've used.

I've used this in the past on everything I've owned. Brought out depth in my wife's black car and my 2 silver cars looked like mirrors!

I'm thinking I'll order up a new batch since I'm about out for this car. I'll post up pics when it's done in a few weeks/months (after winter).

+1000 for Zaino. I've been using Zaino exclusively since 2006, keeps the car looking shiny and new and is low maintenance because lasts 6 - 9 months. Try their Clear Seal, its just as good as their Z2 Pro and Z5 Pro except reduces the time to apply (and no buffing required). I can do my whole car in less than 30 minutes.

Dodo juice diamond white hard wax.
In upstate NY it will last two weeks but I have yet to see anything beat it on light coloured cars.

I apply a durable sealant as a first coat to keep it protected then the dodo juice is that power punch I go to.

Many good options in this thread.

ZAINO ZAINO ZAINO!

never used wax again after Zaino'ng. Great service, great product. Your car will be unbelievably stunning after this stuff.

My Rx8 is 10 years old, and shine is so rich it's crazy when clean.

I am a big fan of Chemical Guys products. Their AIO is solid and I have used a couple of their light polishes for swirl removal. Jetseal is very easy to use and is durable as a last step. Also have good tire dressings and QD's.

Good old meguiars QD's and interior QD's are great as well.

As a last step I like the longevity of synthetic's as opposed to wax.

Have heard many good things about Zaino, but not easy to obtain here, so i haven't tried them.

Just my .02

Try the new Meguires #21. Nothing is said to compare. It seals the paint also. I also use it on my boat. I did a bunch of web searches and all pro details recommend it. It's about $60 for a 1/2 gallon. But it's so worth it.

this is something new that we have been using with great results.

Sonax Polymer Net Shield its great as a stand alone or works well with clear film as well as a topper for all the coatings out there.

Video of it beading up after 1 month on my daily driven S4 (during a Northeast Winter including Nemo ; )
