On my order, the only way I could get the headlight washers was to order the cold weather pack. This was something I originally opted out of since I live on the beach in Florida - but decided to go for it because I like the heated seats for my back.

The heated seats alacart was $500, and the cold weather was $950 - I figured for another $450, the other stuff was just worth it.

A multitude of calamities. I think the strike in South Africa slowed down all 3 series production for a while. My slot kept getting pushed back - couldn't determine if it was due to the strike, because I had a somewhat odd-ball order (sport package diesel) or something else. Then, there was a pretty significant tire issue that is well documented in the 4-series forum if you search for it. Sounds like someone put non-DOT certified tires on the cars, and they couldn't import them until they were switched. Car sat 3 weeks at the VPC.

How's the power on the 330d?

Hi,

I'm very impressed about the power in combination with the automatic gearbox. It is running so fast to high speeds (more than 200km/h) and still in easy to handle at the speed cutter at 250km/h (god save our unlimited motorways).

I'm very excited on the difference with the M-Perfotmance Power Kit which will be installed in two weeks.

I have a 320d Touring Sport Line, equivalent to US 328d. Some extras such as Advantage Edition Package, Bluetooth Professional, Xenon, Electric trailer hitch and automatic gearbox.

The trailer hitch is very cool, it folds out by a push of a button in the trunk. When it's not folded out it's completely invisible. Haha, guess I'm starting to get old...

The car is very nice to live with, very good consumption, averaging 6.8l/100km (35 MPG) during 50/50 city/highway driving, much lower during highway trips.

Here are a shot I took with my phone, car is not washed since November. Have to wait for better weather... That's my 17" winter wheels with Good Year Ultra Grip 8.


Summer setup is 19" Style 401. Will post pics when spring arrives.

Daryl for someone with an awesome set of tools and general mechanical ability, how long would you estimate the total time would take to do the total installation of your hitch including the electrical wiring? And can one person easily remove the bumper cover without scratching it or is that a two person job?

Yes, quite nice. A pleasing, throaty burble. Slightly more drone than stock in the cabin at speed, but nothing unpleasant. It adds a better "feel" to the whole package, just having a bit more realistic sonic/vibrational feedback.
