Where Would You Start Please Help.
Thank you all in advance for all the help you already provided and hopfully the help and knowledge I will need to overcome this problem....
My Vehicle: 2013 BMW 328i F30 and here are my only codes: 123516 Electric wastegate, activation line discountion 1A2002 Electric fan actuating wire Short circuit to ground 1F0514 Valvetronic, supply voltage Short circuit to earth CDA904 No Message(status of trailer, 0x2E4) DME Receiver, AHM transmitter I replaced the FEM thinking it was that and I was wrong. There is good power to the FEM.... Tested the wires from the FEM to the DME i find no problems with power. From the DME to the Fan, wastegate and vavletroics have power also. I dont get it.... Has anyone encoutered this problem before? The car will crank but no start.... I initially took it to transmission shop at first because the light on the dashboard said, "Vehicle will soon be shifted into park." The transmission shop and all their mechanics could not figure out what the problem was with this car. Since then that light has gone away and it shows it is in Park. These new cars or something else I can build a hot rod I can't figure out how to fix this car.... This one has be stumped and stymied. Once Again Thank in Advance, Jeff |

Never had those codes so I don't want to give you bad advice. Only thing I can ask if how is your battery voltage? How old is the battery? I know when batteries get old they can create all sorts of electrical problems.

My money is on a loose or bad ground cable. Which will be a treat to find and fix.

Sounds like you probably already did an inspection of wires all around looking for any sort of rodent or otherwise damage. Not the most budget solution but most dealerships have a trained tech who hounds down electrical problems around these cars.
