F30 HUD additional display options?

Hi everyone,

I just purchased my F30 330i xDrive with the new iDrive interface from 7 Series and HUD, but truth to be told, I was expecting the HUD to be more informative, then showing just the speed (in everyday use).

It makes small use if you want to step on it, concentrating on the road and HUD, but not having the rev. info on the windshield.

Instead, if you want to shift always at the highest torque, you need to lower your sight from the road onto the rev gauge.

Is it possible to engage the rev gauge in some form on the HUD?

I tried coding it into my 2014MY car and it doesn't show. I also wanted to get the indicators up there but that also doesn't work for me.

The HUD shows me only the stock outputs, which is speed limit info, speed, navigation info, phone list and radio stations.

Only the M Combi has that ability AFAIK

My guess is either additional codes are required or the hardware doesn't support it.

If we need additional codes, they're probably going to surface at some point. Different hardware is another story though.

I've been trying to get more stuff in the HUD for weeks. The only thing I was able to get is the junction view that corresponds with navi.

I had no luck with turn signals

I would love to see if anyone is able to unlock some additional "things"

I feel like the F30 cheat sheet also needs some updating. There has to be some new stuff by now

Agreed that cheat sheet needs to be updated props to the guy that put it together but it's a year old ...

I did code somehow. Not sure what the coding was. But sport displays now turn up in HUD displayed options. But does not show any changes in the HUD.

Ya the 3 series HUD is a bit tedious compared to the 7-series

I really think we're missing some extra options to code the function.. probably in another CAFD... Does the HUD have it's own computer that can be coded?

You can always use TM's NCD / Tool to compare CAF's to figure out what you did.
