I'm in.

I do't play the lottery as a rule but just bought some tickets online.

If I win more that 5 million, I will buy 5 M3s to take to a track, then we'll raffle them off for £1 per ticket for a charity of my choice....

Wouldn't that be fun.

Blimey! Well I've just bitten the bullet and changed to San Merino Blue and it was £1,400.

Nice one! Is that one of standard individual options or a proper individual individual option?

Individual collection IIRC but not full on Individual manufaktur which is 3k for a wider choice/colour match service.

It will look lovely in that:

Yup it's sort of between normal individual and full fat individual. Thought it would outside budget but was rather pleased when they came back with price.

Guy, how different is the M3 against your car with the RS set up handling wise, steering etc?
I'd have thought your RS set up would be quite close?

Steering on M3 is nicer. Just feels a little less 'diluted' - only way I can describe it.

Suspension on M3 is slightly tighter than mine on primary ride but that's because I have mine dialled back a bit for comfort. Secondary ride a very close thing, dare I say it but I'm not sure the RS isn't better.

I didn't feel hugely short changed getting back in my car at all. But that power and noise....

I'm sure the M3 will be awesome!
I guess there are other changes to the M3 over the 335d too such as better ARB's etc..... that'll all contribute to being a better car.

In fact here''s a quick reminder.... http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=892746

STEERING
  • Entirely new electric power steering (EPS) unit, built by ZF
  • Specially tuned for M3/M4
  • Servotronic function electronically adjusts the level of steering assistance
  • Three modes: Comfort, Sport, Sport+
  • Will not compensate for understeer, oversteer, coarse road surface. Motor will not help unwind the steering wheel and it will self-center by by natural forces

SUSPENSION / CHASSIS
  • Optional EDC Adaptive M suspension (with Comfort, Sport, Sport+ modes)
  • CFRP front strut brace
  • Double-joint spring strut front axle (saves 11 pounds)
  • New five-link rear axle made from forged aluminum (saves 6.6 pounds)
  • Aluminum suspension
  • Aluminium stiffening plate
  • Rear axle subframe fixed directly to body (bolted joints between the axle subframe and the body sills, without use of elastic rubber elements).

Kinda makes you want it NOW!

Popped to Benhams in Wolverhampton today..

Well I needed some screen wash.

Just by chance they have a white M3, Carbon roof black alloys in.

Looked very nice.

So if anyone else is looking....

Looked very nice, I would have to have a major rethink if I got one as so used to having a tourer / estate as main car.

What's blag trim? Is this something for sales reps?
