You do if you want to use it to FDL Code your car.

Shawn et all

I just tried coding a friend F12, but I couldn't get a connection to the car "No ZGW available" (I did get the usual 'Limited Network Connectivity' on my laptop network connection status, so I assume the connection is established!)... I understand his car software was upgraded recently by the dealer, and I'm still using the old E-Sys 3.22.5... is the problem due to the old E-Sys version?

I'm aware ver 3.23.4 and newer PSDZData is available, but I've not upgraded yet... If upgrading the E-Sys and PSDZData will solve the problem, I'll get right to it!

P/S: Was holding the upgrade as my old token could last a few more months before expiring, and really no reason (personally) to upgrade early since my ride is still using old psdzdata!

Thanks for any advice!

I also tried using the SWID_Reader with Ediabas version 7.2, but couldn't establish connection to the car as well...

Since you can't connect with EDIABAS and SWID_Reader, it seems there is some basic connection issue independent of E-Sys / PSdZData. Since your laptop works for other cars, it can't be it, which really leaves the car left as the only issue. You need to reboot Laptop, and try connecting to car again after it has been shut off for an hour.

Once connected, you will of course need new E-Sys / PSdZData. PM sent.

Thanks! I did recall that new PSDZData is only needed when we do actual reading/coding. In theory, even with the latest i-step, we can still connect to the car to read the i-step level, etc. So I was surprise to see that I could "see" the connection, but at the same time couldn't read the car vin, which is new to me!

I will get the new token & psdzdata to try with him again, hopefully it works (I did have to struggle to even connect the OBD-II cable to his car, doesn't seems to sit well, after 15mins or so, it finally "went in".. hahaha

I did reboot the laptop to try, and it still won't work, but didn't do a full shut down of the vehicle, which I should have tried as well!

Hi,
I coded my friend's car today and we realized something funny. I have coded sport+, while coding the car the passenger side window was half open. The car restarted working and I tried to close to window. But it stopped every time at the level while we were coding.
We continued coding anyway and after another one I managed to close it. However, now I have to push the button until the window is closed. It's not automatically closing. Could anyone help me about this issue? Thanks.

VO Code the ECU, presumably FEM_BODY, to reset it and see if problem disappears.

neue_farbtabelle (new color table) makes it display in grey only.

Looks like the graphics for the arrows between CIC and NBT are indeed different.

I reinstalled CIC and kept the 07/13 build date and I get the same graphics I had before installing NBT. If you take a look at the left turn arrow on both, they are different so it looks like navigation arrow graphics do all come from the head unit.
