Okay, I have a 2012 build April. I believe I have enhanced Bluetooth as I'm able to stream audio from iPhone to car. I have navi and assist.

I've removed the trunk cover and it revealed just a storage hole where I can remove a divider that splits the deep storage area into two.

Does this mean I have the NBT? How is this possible on a 2012?

No, that's too far towards the rear bumper.

The combox is on the left near the back of the rear seats (farther forward).

You have to lift the trunk cover completely up. The cover comes out easily too for cleaning.

An April 2012 build is almost definitely CIC.

Thanks for the reply. I will go look again, I did remove the trunk's removable floor and did not see it, but it was dark in the garage. I will check again.

You can tell CIC vs NBT just by looking at the UI. No need to go digging in your trunk.

All 2012 3 series models worldwide have CIC. In Canada and the US the only 2013 model that has NBT is the Active Hybrid 3.

If you had a 2014 model however, that will be NBT for sure.
