These are very different products...

MPPSK- Valved Catback Exhaust + Flash tune(+35hp over stock and+39 lb-ft over stock) ~$4000

Dinan Elite- Piggyback plug in tune. (47hp @ 4500 RPM over stock
and 60ft/lbs @ 4000 RPM over stock) $1400

You can also run these products together in tandem.

MPPSK
Pro: More power, Valve allows you to have nice sound and stock sound based on mode, Warranty on all components
CON: Expensive

Dinan
Pro: Sounds as good as MPPSK, Lower Cost
Con: No more power, Stuck with drone at hiway speed, no warranty (though exhaust isnt one I would care about lmuch - but some may)

If you want exhaust only and dont care about having a quiet exhaust get Dinan. If you want the MOST power get MPPSK and add a Dinan Elite OR a JB4. Most power with exhaust.

If $$ is not an objection go MPPSK -

Seriously, $$ is the ONLY reason why someone doesnt get MPPSK.

That's over $1000 more than I paid for my MPPSK, installed. Granted I got a really good deal and went with the silver tips. It's expensive either way, but $4k is on the high side from what I've seen on the board.

MPPSK is a must when ordering as an option on a new vehicle. It is pricey when buying as a standalone from the parts department. Having said that I am really liking the MPPSK exhaust and could not imagine not having it now.

I had mppsk installed at the port on 2018 440i for 3400$ with carbon tips. Since this is a leased car I am only paying about 46% of the cost over the three years.
Love the way it sounds and performs.

Mine was Dealer installed last October, $3385 with Carbon tips, includes shop supplies, enviromental fee and State sales tax. I've stated several times this seems to be about the average cost, no one has questioned that yet so it must be fairly accurate.

I too love the sound and performance.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the Dinan Elite was designed to be used with the MPPSK, so it's not one or the other. If you get the Dinan stage 1 first, you will need to update it to the stage 1 for MPPSK if you subsequently get the MPPSK installed.

My dealer quoted $4065 for the MPPSK with carbon fiber tips, installed. I thought that was high, so I called another dealer, who quoted $4977.

Ask to talk to the Parts Manager, he/she may want the commision or just a little bump in their monthly sales numbers. If they stand firm on the price ask how much for just the installation. A quick search and I found the kit less tips for $2280 plus shipping from a BMW Dealer in Ohio. A Dealer Parts dept has to sell a lot of brake pads or oil filters to equal one MPPSK, they really should want this sale.

Are you asking about the tune or exhaust comparison?

Does anyone have experience if the Dinan Elite does the burbles/pops that the MPPK achieves?

Only flash tune can improve the burble sound

I could say that too with the MPPSK... then I put it in stock mode.. Anything louder than stock is drone... Unless yours sounds like stock..

droning is when the exhaust resonates loudly in the cabin at specific rpms...
