F32 3-series styling
Interesting comments regarding the next M3, I must admit the present BMW front end styling is getting very common with other manufactures, especially the lights. Will BMW follow the Japanese techno style that Nissan Toyota and Lexus use? The present M3 is a classic it will be a hard act to follow.
This is my quick rendering to start debate, I am not that happy with the front end but I would like to hear what other Bimmers would like to see. |

I totally agree but I was wondering what other readers views are on how the next M3,s design will evolve, will it follow BMW,s present designs with the sharp headlights or something completely fresh. I am hoping the M3 will not be designed up a size,if you look at my previous post I was lucky enough to have some track time with an M3 this week and although I drive BMW,s for a living (including M3,s) it has put the vehicle in a new light to me, it is STUNNING!!!

BMW is the leader in the automotive industry?
Let's look here -bmw is far from the most reliable, hell not even close to the upper bracket -bmw does even come close to most in performance... Anything in the M series can easily get tromped chewed and spit out for half the price by GM -if you consider plastic radiators, consistantly failing fuel pumps, crap window moldings, ac that can't ever get right and the list goes on So to sum it up if leader in the automotive industry actually leads in none of the following I think someone needs a swift kick in the ass off the all mighty bmw fanboi wago before they sound any dumber

You can say get smoked by a GM maybe a vette, and ss camaro but do either of those give you the same amount of luxury, refinement, balanced dynamics? (great cars, but not in the same categories) I believe BMW is one of many leaders in the automotive industry. Typically you find the 3 series, 5, and 7 at the top of their respective categories. I think what makes an car manufacturer great is whether they accomplish what they set out to do. And in that respect, I feel bmw, honda, the new ford, even audi, to name just a few, now seem to do a great job at it.

I definitely consider BMW a leader in automotive design. Remember when Bangle got a lot of shit for the E65? The whole Bangle-Butt ordeal? Well check out modern cars; they ditched their own straight edge lines to follow Bangle's flame-surfacing and many automakers designed their own version of the Bangle-Butt.

There is a huge difference between A leader and THE leader in the automotive industry. Is BMW a leader? Sure... As for you andrew chee? You need to wake up. Please don't say anything else you sound ridiculous.

If you think that way about bimmers why are you on this forum? This forum is obviously for people who love their bimmers, some most members are going to think that way.

BMW may not be the best at everything but in terms of reducing consumption , innovation, image , stature and of course driving dynamics they are at the Top of their Game.
That is why they are the no 1. Premium manufacturer in the world. |

btw. its the sum of the parts, not individual parts. you can't say that toyota is an industry leader purely because of its production numbers, nor can you say ferrari is an industry leader because of its design and mechanical advancements...

I like the z8 aspect of the rendering. Although you really need the classic kidney grill look and angel eyes on an M.
I'd like to see a mix of the E92 and e46 personally. Mesh those somehow. Infact even a combination of the the E30 and E36. |
