Just found out my 328i is on the Topeka headed for California. Should be here on 9/4/2013!!!! Anyone else on the same boat?? I don't think I can stand the wait much longer.

Idk if my car is on the same boat or not but i do know its waiting for a boat. Its been waiting for a boat for about a week.
Just a quick question. When did you order your car and when did it finish production?
I hope it gets to my dealer sooner than october.

I ordered on July 7th and the car finished production on Aug. 3rd. It was loaded on Aug. 9th and the Topeka left port on Aug 10th. If you have a VIN number you can check the WW shipping web site and it will tell you if your car is on a boat or not. Take a look at the car tracking sticky.

Tracked it on the site and it says no records found. I ordered my car 2 days later than you but mines finished production before yours but yours made it on a boat before mine. I wonder whens the next boat gonna arrive.

Call your CA. They should be able to tell you the name of the boat... From there you can track it here ... http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/

I tracked my e92 daily once it left port. I still remember the day it hit the port in Oxnard. :-). Good luck

Hey Zing,

I did the search with my vin and got the same info that my CA provided a few hours later once I found out my car was on a ship so they should be able to provide you with all the info you need. Which plant was your car produced in? Mine was at the Spantanburg plant. That may have something to do with the production vs shipping differences in our cars.

On another note,

Tropical depression Erin is forming in the Atlantic in the expected path of the Topeka. I hope that it does not cause any significant delay in the ships route to Panama.

The Topeka is docked in Panama. I hope I can catch a web shot of it going through the locks tomorrow.

I caught the Topeka going through the Gatun lock in Panama!!! One more week till it hits port in Hueneme, CA.
