Not sure what to believe, or if this is a good deal. It looks like he is starting off at MSRP. I was planning to negotiate close to invoice, but I am not sure if he will void the $3310 discount and maybe make the deal worse.

Also, I'm seeing people getting quoted higher RV's in other threads. 60% seems low.
Finally, I was reading that NYS requires taxes to be paid upfront. Correct?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. tia

thats crazy expensive, go through a leasing company. $660 a month BEFORE taxes is too much, you should be paying $600 a month (with NYC taxes included) and about 2000-2500 as your first payment which includes a security deposit and not taxes upfront.

Thanks for the response. I have a few noob questions though:
1. What is a 'leasing company'? Is that not BMW dealer?
2. You state the first cost should be "first payment + security deposit". What is the security deposit? I do not see that listed in the quote I was given.

To achieve a total monthly of $600, I calculate that my negotiated sale price should be about $51,500, which is about 13% below MSRP. Is that realistic considering the car was just released?

No idea what a leasing company is ...

What is the selling price of the vehicle? Not MSRP, but the price the car is being leased under. Is it just MSRP less the discount+incentives?

If so, it looks like invoice is probably around 55,000, so your discounts and incentives check out well.

I didn't realize NY required sales tax upfront, is that required? I thought it was just on monthly payment.

MF and selling price look good. Yea, it's expensive, but your MSRP is almost at 60K ... what do you expect? Lol

Upon further research it appears that I have a choice of paying taxes upfront or rolling it into the monthly payments, but then it will be subject to interest.
Yes, the selling price is MSRP - discount & incentives.

Higher RVs were probably for 2013s, 2014s won't get you a very good deal on the financing side. RV is set by BMWF so unless the dealership is messing with it.

If you can, pay all the taxes and fees up front and save a little bit.

Have you looked at the RV for 10k/yr instead of 12?

Over all I would say it looks pretty good but that's based on guessing your cap cost from MSRP, discount and incentives.

Ask your CA what cap is before reduction. Will your CA tell you the actual invoice price?

There's only six things you need to have to know if you're getting a good deal: invoice, MSRP, capitalized cost, cap cost reduction w/out incentives, money factor and residual value.

Maybe seven things if there are incentives involved.

they can do a little better. I got $695 including taxes and 15k miles a year. All i put down was the first month payment and some dmv and registration fees. Came out to about $1,530 for the drive off fees.

The OP is talking about a 2014, not a 2013. $695/mo doesn't really mean anything without all the associated details.

Agreed. And even different selling prices, let alone states which can affect the tax structure, can sway a lease payment by more than $50 in extreme conditions.

OP - We can only help by you providing all the info. Figure out what the selling price is.

leasing companies are like insurance agents, they get you best prices for cars, but the good thing is that you actually get it from a dealer.

if you doing US delivery and dont want to go through multiple calculations they give a pretty reasonable quotes, in my experience better then actual dealers

Lease brokers have their own potential issues. Some of them have "relationships" with dealerships which will bias their representation, some of the behave "less than ethically" and some of them are on the up-and-up.

Technically, you can always do better yourself, but it may be a big hassle which is where a good broker comes in.

It's not an automatic win.

yeah as i said if you dont want to do bunch of calculations and/or have a dealer that will give you the price.
what you care about is bottom line price, if they give it to you then great.

So i was quoted for a 2014 335i lease, and wanted to see if the pricing is accurate.

Color: Mineral White
Interior: Dakota Leather

Packages: Premium, Drivers assistance & Tech Package
Heated Seats

Total MSRP: 53,375

The dealer is quoting $2058 down and $520 per month including Tax and other items with 12k miles.

Please help me guage, if this is a fair price.

I am getting one today for 505 a month incl. taxes for 10k miles and 2700 down which includes Tire & Wheel Warranty.

I have a friend who swears shes paying 424 a month and only put taxes down on a fully loaded 335xi. It sounds absurd to me. Her reasoning is that she's very close with a dealer (family friend). I know dealers are allowed special deals for themselves but how far below sticker...?

i think my dealer ripped me off big time on my car lease. I'm paying $783.59 a month including taxes on my f30 m performance with a sticker of $59,903 and i got it $6k under MSRP at $53,895. I'm researching and for a little more i think i might be able to get an m3. is there any way to renegotiate it or am i really stuck with this high payment until the lease is up?

wow your dealer bent you over HARD! unfortunately theres no renegotiating...you're stuck.

in regards to leasing companies....they're brokers that basically do the negotiating for you and get a low price. I believe they get a kickback from the dealership (you dont pay a penny to them). and yes the car does come from a dealership.

however, at the end of the day....you can get the same deal they can get if you do the work yourself.

you're stuck unless you do a lease transfer. BMWFS allows lease transfers where the original lessee is completely taken off the lease..i'm almost at the end of the process myself for my car and it's been amazingly quick.

I'm not in the same boat as you..i actually had an amazing deal on my car and was in no rush to get rid of it..but you can always put your car on swapalease.com or on here on the forum; however you're definitely going to need quite a hefty incentive to the buyer..probably a few thousand dollars.

i was paying $475 with taxes for my F30 ActiveHybrid 3 with a $65k MSRP and i did MSD's..it's all relative to the deals at the time and the rates that you get..but your payment is crazy high.

$561 a month with 1509 down, includes all taxes fees etc. just have to pay for tires when I go through them.

You think there is any more room to squeeze them? I'm fairly convinced I got them as low as they can go, they stated there loosing 2800 on the car (true or not). Even when I did it on truecar.com the best it could do was 54500 sale price not counting taxes meaning a payment close to 700.

Any help is appreciated! looking to get it tomorrow since my e39 M5 just sold .

You think there is any more room to squeeze them? I'm fairly convinced I got them as low as they can go, they stated there loosing 2800 on the car (true or not). Even when I did it on truecar.com the best it could do was 54500 sale price not counting taxes meaning a payment close to 700. Any help is appreciated! looking to get it tomorrow since my e39 M5 just sold .
