For 2015 BMW added a new interior trim called Ash Grain w/Metal Inlay that is the closest you can get to piano black in the States.

As such, it blends in with the upper dash, and unlike aluminum or the other woods it doesn't add much additional color/noise, it makes the upper dash look like one continuous zone and not a mix of styles.

I don't see much of a difference between 4GC and the 3GT

Oh man, BJ is going to be all over this one……

First, congrats to the OP on the new car and good luck with it!

There are certainly differences between the 3GT and 4GC (length and height for example ), but you probably feel that way because they squished the hatch in there, like the GT, instead of extending the rear end out just a couple of inches for a more flowing design, like the 6GC. Nothing "Gran" about a 4 door "coupe" that's the same exact size as the 2 door coupe. It has a sloping roof line that has no where to go, since it's the same length as the regular sedan and the actual coupe….

I like the 4GC, but I would have LOVED it (and bought it) if they had followed the same design strategy as the 6GC. They could have made adjustments to preserve the driving dynamics just like they did when the made the F30 4 inches longer than the E90. The design would have been that much sexier and it would have opened up an entirely new segment (bigger than a 3, smaller than a 5, imagine that from a 4!!), further differentiating it from the F30. Make it different, not just LOOK different!

BJ will tell you it's sooooo much wider too, but we all know what kind of people think half an inch is "big"

Lol, funny. I guess it's harder to tell in pictures from a side angle rather than from front or rear

Leather Dash

If I could order the leather dash, I'd replace my 2012 328I with a 435 GC.

How are you liking it so far? I love the hatch...idk...may have to get on of these next instead of the coupe. Wish it came in a MT.

It is really a great car. I love the look, lines, fit and finish. It has much more power and torque than my E90. Carbon black is a great color but not for the faint of heart if you are OCD about keeping a car spotless.

Love your car! But I might be biased as it's very similar looking to my own except F36 instead of F32.

Oh yeah and you bought the engine I would have preferred

I had to wait 3 months for MT in my GC, but well worth the wait. There are no MT cars to test drive here in OZ but I took a chance and ordered it - so glad i did. The 8AT is a great bit of gear, but I like to be in control and enjoy pulling it through the gears. These cars look awesome with 19" + rims on.

OP, love the dark wood trim like everybody else.

Thanks once again for all the positive comments. The leather dash is something that I appreciate more every time I drive the car. Definitely worth the 6 month wait!
