When Dreams Come True: US-Spec M-Sport F30 335i European Delivery on August 13th!
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com MEGA GALLERY: Hey everyone, Sorry for taking so long to post this, after being gone for 10 days and the fall semester starting again it's taken me a while to be able to get to this! Anyways, So I ordered the car from Vista BMW in Pompano Beach, FL. Special thanks to Omar Acosta and Sal Bromberg there for providing me with a great opportunity to take european delivery of such a great car and pricepoint! I ordered the car back in June, when the M-sport ordering guide had just been released here on the forum. When I went to the dealer I printed out the ordering guide from F30post, and took it with me to the dealer, since they had not yet received any information on the M-Sport line. 2013 BMW F30 M-Sport Line Estoril Blue Black Dakota 8Spd AT W/Paddle Shifters 19" Wheels Alum. Hex trim with Estoril Blue highlight Premium Pack Driver Assist Pack (Not Plus) Tech Pack Heated Front Seats Harman Kardon Sound BMW Apps BMW Assist w/Enhanced BT Auto High-Beams After a couple of weeks, I received an Email from BMW Special Sales with a confirmed ED date of August 13th at 9:00AM. So in the meantime i was stuck to the computer screen looking for the best flight deal, hotels, where to go, the best roads to drive on, etc... Needless to say I spent countless hours reading other peoples' euro delivery threads as well! Here's the route we decided to take: First off, getting to munich ended up being a mission... Our trip was supposed to be MIA->ATL->DUS->MUC, however due to a delayed flight and missed connection, it ended up being MIA->ATL->JFK->AMS->DUS and then a 6 hour train ride to Munich in order to make it on time to take delivery of the car! My check in Time at the BMW Welt was 7:30, however they don't open the building until 8:00, so we spent about 30 minutes outside waiting to be the first people into the BMW Welt that day! Leaving the Hotel, 2 miles away from the Welt http://s294.photobucket.com/albums/m...t=144ed2e1.jpg In the Taxi Outside the Welt My Girlfriend Vanessa Myself Checking In at 8:00 Just a rolling Chassis When Dreams Come true Elevator Getting all the "Boring Stuff done" as she called it First Glimpse of the car!!! And her sister! We left our mark! After waiting about 30 Minutes in the waiting area with all the food and drinks, which by the way is AWESOME! all the food was great! It was Finally time to take delivery! After walking down the stairs, there was a laptop about 1/2 way down with which the BMW Colleague uses to "initiaite" the car to start spinning and lighting, etc... Now talk about weird... My Favorite Number has always been 11, When I raced cars for 9 years, my number was 11... http://s294.photobucket.com/albums/m...t=81ae3adb.png And my car just so happened to be in space number 11!! After taking Delivery, we hooked up the GOPRO HD Hero2 to the roof of the car for the "Victory lap" around the Welt! and then Valet parked the car to return inside the Welt for my Keychain and to do some shopping in the store! Engraving BMW Shop Placing the GoPro again Now we leave the BMW Welt and head southwest towards the Neuschwanstein Castle, what inspired Walt Disney's architecture for Cinderella's castle! Happened to stumble upon this beautiful lake! My Cousin, Adam who also came along for the trip! super clear water! And.... It's under construction!!! Saw this E46 in the parking lot.... Using Top View for the first time! Beer O' Clock! Sunset! We stopped at the Holiday Inn Express that night in Singen, Germany. In the morning, we continued our trip to Fallanden, Switzerland. The location of Swissvax Headquarters and their Detailing center! I had an appointment at 9AM for a full Exterior Paintwork treatment using Crystal Rock wax! On the road again! We stopped at the Rhine Falls on the way to Zurich! Next Stop, Swissvax! Pulling in to the washing area Before: While the car was being treated at Swissvax, We were given a loaner car (Mercedez E55!) to travel to Zurich for the day. Lunch Back at Swissvax Swissvax Factory Tour! This is how the waxes used to be made! Map of all Swissvax Locations in the world! Top Secret! The Bottling Room All bottles are filled by hand to exact weight! Storage Room Leather Dye mixing room Products waiting to be shipped Back at the detailing center, they were finishing up! Paul Dalton's Crystal Rock Wax applied by Hand The Interior (Not Detailed) Now we leave Switzerland and drive through the Alps to Como, Italy, where we spent the night. We took a tram up to this hill top for dinner Our hotel for the night! View from the Hotel The tram up the mountain The next morning we set out for the town of Bellagio on Lake Como. Nervous moments! Now we took a ferry to the other side of the lake to Varenna After spending some time in Varenna, We set out for Genoa. There isn't much to see or do in Genoa, and It's a rather dirty place, however we were just staying there because we figured it as a good mid-way point on the way to Monaco. The next day we got an early start and drove along the coastline to Monaco. Unfortunately the pics from Monaco were all downloaded to my cousin's computer rather than mine, so you can see them if you look at my facebook, but otherwise I don't have the pictures... Here's the view from our hotel the next morning before heading out to head back north. (Hotel Les Terrace D' Eze) On the road towards Via Gran San Bernardo! SO MANY TUNNELS! Top view again! We stopped to eat lunch at this mountainside villiage. We ate at Hotel Suisse, which dated back to the 1600's!!! Insane! mmmmm The hotel served water from the stream behind it! Rickety wood bridge we had to cross to the parking now this was impressive! this guy made it all the way up to the summit! Swiss border patrol didn't like the GoPro we had mounted to the roof, and almost tried to take it from me! I finally was able to negotiate with them that I would delete the footage... I acted like I pushed some buttons (turned it off and back on so it would beep) and made the guy believe I had erased the data Passing by Lake Evian That night we stayed in a family friends' house near Pforzheim, Germany, Just north of the Black forest. In the morning we continued on to the Nurburgring Nordschliefe! Giving the car a quick pressure-cleaning to remove the tremendous amount of bugs that had accumulated! Now she was thirsty... 95 Octane... 1.77 Euro/L.... 102 Octane the same price.... Nurburgring in a couple hours.... I'll take 102! Getting Close!! Here's all the cars that were there for Tourist Rides RHD M3's and Mclaren For only 260 Euro/Lap take a ride in the ring taxi! I bought 4 laps... I did the first 2, and my cousin did the other 2. Here's a Video of my 2nd lap! After spending the afternoon at the Green Hell, We headed out towards Amsterdam, Where we would spend the weekend and I would return the car on Monday. Bicycles everywhere! I had never seen so many!! Just Chillin We rented Bikes Don't get run over by the tram now! The Dutchmasters, "May We Introduce Ourselves" Breakfast After all was said and done and having spent 2 days in Amsterdam, We set off to drop off the car Monday morning at the Port. Here's the last two pics i took of the car! The wait for her is going to absolutely kill me! It's only been a week (when I posted this) since I dropped it off and with 5-7 weeks to go it's horrible! But worth every minute! one of those moments where you want to cry because you are leaving your car for so long, but you are happy that you got to do what you did! Well that's all for the trip writeup! After dropping off the car we took a train from Amsterdam Centraal to Dusseldorf, where our return flight was from. NOW THE WAIT!!!! Looks like a great trip. I'll be doing something very similar in two weeks. Could you provide the link to your facebook page so I can check out your Monaco pictures?

LOL !!! I now feel the pain that others had to go through when going over my thread a few months back...
Your's only one page so far, but was enough to make my finger tired from clicking endlessly... and it was frustrating to never see the end of it LOL ... Thanks for posting!!! AWEsoME trip that you were able to share with your GF and cousin! I am very curious as to why the Swiss border patrol didn't like your GoPro on your car ??? ?? I just saw your post just now it took me over half a hour to get through all the pics!! I know it's not easy and very time consuming to resize all the photos! Congrats on your Trip! now the wait LOL but this community is here for you buddy! (edit: you've been here longer than i am, so i didn't need to tell you that 0

There are many locations throughout Europe, I went to the main facility at their headquarters in Fallanden, Switzerland; about 30 minutes outside of Zurich.
