Would it throw an error for the HFC ?
Am driving the M135 also with N55 engine which is the same as F30 335.. But should be different ecu tune.
So not really sure if it does throw error...
Anybody can help..

Cheers

Any CELs yet? I know I keep asking, but I realize it probably takes 2 tanks of gas for the ECU to cycle.
Apparently, that is the question everyone wants to know. I'd presume Challenge or someone who has installed it should be able to give a yes/no answer easily.

So far so good. No check engine light here and it's been on the car since January 30th and just about 1000 miles.

that's pretty long - like 2.5 tanks of gas.

I'm going to assume you don't have a juice box either?

Power mods are the injen intake, jb stage 1, challenge hfc downpipe, and full meisterschaft gtc sytem. All were installed at the same time except the intake, which was installed a week later.

What are your thoughts on the injen intake? If its black, can you take a pic?

Pics

Not to get too off topic but I love the sound. You can hear the blow off valve, you can hear the spooling, and you can hear the hissing. It's a great compliment to the downpipe/full exhaust system. Car sounds and feels beastly now.

Most dealerships wont give you a problem about it. If you have some major failure or something is the only time i would put your car back to stock as much as possible. BMW cannot void your warranty for having an exhaust part installed randomly.

Just got my ER downpipe installed today at M Power here in Houston. Was definitely a quick job and the results are great. This definitely makes the car sound much beefier and more fun to drive. With the downpipe and bms stage 2 the car is a completely different beast and I don't regret going catless one bit.

I've heard outside the car at idle it has a 'smell'. Thoughts?

I haven't noticed anything yet but I'm also driving it and never really outside of the car at idle. I've walked around after driving it .... spiritedly and haven't really noticed anything that caught my attention and I'm trying to see if there is actually a smell. Also no CEL yet either but I'm in Map 2 and only a half tank in.

I'm almost sure that once you get a thousand or so miles through that catless DP, it will start to STANK

That's what the consensus seemed to be, which is why I asked.

Also, if you're running Stage 2 JB4, I think it has the auto delete code for downpipes built in, so you won't see any unless you're stage 1 or no tune at all.
